Hey - so what if we banned nationwide parties and pacs. Instead, parties could only be organized and financed at the state level? Ie. In MN, donations could only come from citizens that have established MN residence & businesses that HQ out of MN.

Just want to say that even the Bible acknowledges there are certain things a profit motive isn't good at. Religion and government are supposed to push back against the profit motive & make accomodations where the profit motive doesn't incentivise the broader private & public good.

The Bible does not specifically adress the abortion issue. The Torah says that an adulterous pairing must be put to death - no provision for the life of the unborn. In another place, the Bible says not to punish a child for the sins of it's parents. The single issue must be exposed.

I have a really rudimentary understanding of trauma informed thinking. I am curious what a person with more training would say about the stories from Exodus to Dueteronomy. The slavery in Egypt seems to be a pretty clear source of trauma. YHWH's responce seems like adding trauma to trauma...

Any way you cut it. The USA is an empire on a trajectory toward collapse. It's not left vs right. It's top verses bottom. The top doesn't care because they are insulated. They can ride out the storm. Maybe even benefit from it. Its always the bottom that gets hit hardest by catastrophe.

Inflation is impacted by a ton of factors. However, 1 major factor is the financial health of the government backing the currency. Just like an over-leveraged banking, housing or tech bubble can pop, so can an over-leveraged government.

Elections are a state level issue. The States decide how their own representives are chosen. States decide how their own electoral votes are applied. (All or nothing verses splitting them, for example.) This is foundational to our Republican Democracy and intentional. Tell Trump to pound sand.

Paradigm shift: because of all of the bias & hueristic built into the human mind, people often hang on to bad ideologies longer than we should. But over time, crisis moments and/or consistent experiences that opposes those bad ideologies can lead to replacing old ideologies with new ones

Wild idea. Instead of free throws for common fouls, it is a sideline out of bounds & the offending player sits for a few seconds at mid-court. For a non-shooting foul, they could sit 4 seconds & 7 seconds for a shooting foul. Free throws are boring. Short advantages make room for highlights. #NBA

Trump's whole administration is implicated in violating the constitution, court orders, etc. You don't have to end up with Vance if you impeach Trump. Impeach Trump, Vance, Johnson, Rubio, and so on for violation of the Constitution and their oath to uphold it. #ImpeachTrump
