I've been writing a story about a witch who accidentally summons a tiny demon instead of a familiar. I'm up to Chapter seven and I've been having a lot of fun. New chapter up! Go check it out! archiveofourown.org/works/503909...

Hayao Miyazaki is tired. He longs to retire, to rest, to sit on a porch and watch the trees. Suddenly he has an unbidden idea for a poignant coming of age story set in a world of magic and whimsy. He groans and reluctantly starts drawing the world’s most beautiful cartoon

The amazing @aceouttatime on Tumblr has also done incredible fanart of The Rescue and The Stranding, and also a GORGEOUS commission for me of Henry holding a raindrop.

A piece of fanart of a scene from The Rescue, a giant woman and a tiny man are having baths side-by-side, the giant woman's fingers moving to play with his hair. They are both covered in bubbles.

She's saying: Do you get invited to many card games?
He's replying: I'm truly beginning to regret inviting you to tease back.

A red-tinted sketch of Henry from The Rescue/The Stranding, looking upwards with long hair draped over his shoulder, tied back loosely with a ribbon.

A fully-coloured commission of Henry, standing under a large bent left and examining a dangling dewdrop in his hands. His hair is tied loosely by a red ribbon, long and almost floating behind him. He's in a long blue coat with a sword on his belt, tall brown boots and grey pants.

Here's some more art by @hollewdz.bsky.social of Melanie and Henry from The Rescue and The Stranding! <3 Holly does INCREDIBLE work and her patreon is absolutely well worth every dime if you like g/t or micro/macro content. Definitely give her a follow!

A brown-haired giantess with a short haircut and tips dyed purple stands against a blue-sky background in a purple shirt, a small man with very long, milk-chocolate hair riding her shoulder and gripping a yellow ribbon that's tied around her neck.

A drawing of a scene from The Rescue, a woman with hazel-green eyes and purple-dyed short hair lays on a couch in grey pants, pink shirt and a red flannel overshirt as she holds a tiny man with long brown hair in her hand, his feet braced against her torso. She's grimacing uncomfortably.

Her speech bubble says: It's fine, really! It was just of you on a high shelf, or something...

His speech bubble says: ...Well, I'm glad you're fine, then.
