Quick one from last week's stream! Working on improving my speed, this one was ~45min or so. Trying to get stuff "complete" faster, even if it needs polish. [ #art #illustration #concept #digitalpainting ]

An exercise in perspective I did a few years ago. I still dread indoor compositions, so I'm pleased with this one despite its flaws. [ #art #artsky #ocart #illustration #monochrome ]

A monochrome sketch of a bedroom from a high 3/4 angle. A man sits on the bed with his face cast unnaturally in shadow, looking at the camera. The room is dimly lit with clothes and shoes scattered around, a guitar leaning against a shelf with a record player, and a nightstand with an ashtray and a digital clock. White light pours in through a window.

A hybrid between a lemon shark and a tyrannosaurus standing on a beach. It has the body shape of a theropod, with a shark-like tail, head shape, and fins. Its head is lowered to investigate a baby sea turtle.

2026 (so far, big WIP from back in 2024 that I have been chipping away at the past few weeks). Whenever I feel like my art hasn't changed all that much, I look at how much more detail I'm willing to describe, and realize that I've gained quite a bit of finesse, or at least patience.

A closeup of a grey-skinned humanoid character whose face is covered in intricate markings and gilded feathers. His glowing blue eye stares directly at the viewer.

Can I interest you in some Yellowstone mule deer? I really ought to go back through some of these pictures for studies/reference :') I miss camping

A wide shot of a mule deer standing on an incline, surrounded by young evergreen saplings and taller trees on a clear autumn day.

A close shot of three mule deer standing in tall grass. The first deer is facing away from the camera with its head down. The second and third are looking directly at the camera.

Assuming extant animals: Masked and eared owls, especially the Lesser Sooty whose expression is so charming. Darkling beetles (blue death-feigning are goofiest). Long-tailed pangolins look like little dragons... And of course, pick a canid and I'll like them too xD Such as the Maned Wolf. What a guy
