Instead of just looking on the conference feed, I had to try to remember what someone's first name was and then try to google their research afterwards like some sort of private detective. Absolutely bananas. Networking on social media for academia is completely essential

I just learnt my projected date to finish training as a general surgeon is in Jan 2033. I started med school in 2011. British training is LONG 💀
