So I did make it to my parents’ in time for a late lunch, no thanks to someone “overfueling” the plane that they then had to burn off so it wasn’t overweight, which of course took longer than they said it would. And then I collapsed into a nap after lunch.

Dammit, the Moon is doing a spectacular thing and as usual, it will not fit in my camera at all.

View over tan plains with cholla and distant blue mountains. The sky is blue but pink where the Belt of Venus hits. The moon is vanishing into clouds that cannot be seen as anything but the same shade of blue, and thus looks like a lidded eye.

Just bought a new remote because one night the old one just… disappeared. I can’t say I’ve looked absolutely everywhere, but I looked everywhere obvious. The gremlins disappeared it good. Which means, of course, that they’ll bring it back as soon as it’s too late to cancel the order for the new one.
