It always slightly frustrates me that I can never find a comprehensive, georeferenced map showing the toponymy of seabed features, but this snippet from the BGS memoir captures some of the best ones north-east of Norfolk. webapps.bgs.ac.uk/memoirs/docs... (Figure 121, Cameron et al. 1992)
A chart of the Norfolk Banks running sub-parallel to the coast, showing the names given to them by people navigating those waters; from north-east inwards towards the coast, these are:
Indefatigable Banks
Swarte Bank
Broken Bank
Well Bank
Inner Bank
Ower Bank
Leman Bank, with Haddock Bank to it's north-west
Smith's Knoll
Winteron Ridge
Hammond Knoll
Haisborough Sand

Well, some real shocks during the group stage of the #BiscuitWorldCup - bourbons didn't make it through! Good to see plucky newcomers Jezyki qualify
A whiteboard showing the results of the group Stage of the Biscuit World Cup; group A - chocolate digestives (15) and Jezyki (10) are through. Group B - Leibniz (15) and Jaffa cakes (10). Group C - Stroopwafels (13) and shortbread (11). Group D - Malted Milk (15) and the Mighty Custard Creams (12). There is a small raiding party of Vikings disembarking from a longship in the bottom left hand corner

and the tournament proceeds THUS #BiscuitWorldCup
24 Qualifying Biscuits are drawn out of a hat and allotted to two groups. Each biscuit must play every other biscuit to get through to the quarter finals.
The timetable will be shared following the draw.
A match comprises a foregathering of qualified staff together with a packet of each biscuit. The relative merits of each biscuit shall be debated, concerning such criteria as tastiness, dunkability, danger of catastrophic collapse, and an eventual vote taken at the end of the session as to which biscuit has won which match.
Each biscuit in each group shall play every other biscuit in that group.
The top two biscuits from each group will proceed through to the quarter finals (8 biscuits).
The Quarter Finals are a knock-out: winners of the Quarter Final matches shall progress to the Semi-finals.
The winners of the semi-finals will progress to the final of the Biscuit World Cup

By popular demand (well, two people asked), here are the qualification rules of the #BiscuitWorldCup
A screen shot of the rules of the Unit 5 Biscuit World Cup, which reads as follows:

UNIT 5 BISCUIT WORLD CUP – The Rules
1. Only Biscuits that are found in the biscuit aisle of a normal supermarket can enter the Biscuit World Cup
2. Weetabix are not biscuits and are not found in the biscuit aisle, and therefore cannot enter the biscuit world cup.
3. Jaffa Cakes are found in the Biscuit aisle, and therefore DO qualify for the Biscuit World Cup.
4. A sensible Biscuit Aisle. Not Aldi. A hoover is not a biscuit.
5. You may not make up biscuits (there is no such thing as a Chicken tikka digestive biscuit).
6. Crackers are crackers not biscuits, except when they are crisps.
7. Biscuits from overseas are allowed IF you can buy them in this country.
8. No homemade biscuits. This is a professional tournament.

Exciting day at work today; attended the draw for the group stage of the #BiscuitWorldCup - live!
A whiteboard listing all the teams that qualified for the group stage of this year's Biscuit World Cup. The rules are attached to the whiteboard with two blue magnets, because people keep trying to put forward things that are not biscuits, like Weetabix, and Welsh cakes. There are three drawings of tiny vikings at the bottom of the board

And also: check out my darning! Far too pleased with myself
A marvellous blue-green jumper, with an extremely neat patch of darning over a hole in the elbow, but which doesn't quite match, as the yarn is dyed a marbled blue and green. The edges are a bit ropey, though

@markknight63.bsky.social who knew??!!
In its early series, Knightmare lacked a single major antagonist or 'baddie'. Originally, Treguard was specifically a neutral character, neither on the side of good nor evil. The closest there was to a main villain was Mogdred (portrayed by John Woodnutt), but his primary duty was (according to wizard Merlin in the penultimate episode of Series 2) to "scare you into making a mistake", though he did kill two dungeoneers, one in Series 2 and another early in Series 4. In Series 5 (1991), however, changes were made. The majority of the characters were split into two sides: the righteous "Powers that Be", and the villainous "Opposition", the leader of which was Lord Fear played by Mark Knight. By this time, Treguard's stance had now fully evolved into that of a strictly good character.

The words 'Lord Fear played by Mark Knight' are highlighted

The cover of a book called 'And when did you last see your father?', by Blake Morrison. The cover is occupied by a portrait photograph of a slightly balding man with dark hair in his mid-40's. He is smiling slightly awkwardly and looking directly at the camera, almost bearing his teeth, and squinting. The man is wearing a jumper, and has his arms around a young boy (about 8 years old?) who has towsled brown-blonde hair and is topless. The boy is squinting too, and nearly smiling, but hiding his teeth. His expression is slightly guarded.
