I'd like to write for you.
Yes.
You.
I'd like to write you words to make your heart swell,
words you warm to,
give you an endearing
stray.
But my fingers are broken.
I'd like to tell you something that makes your mind churn,
something that presents puzzles, a mysterious
stranger.
But my mouth is sewn shut.
I'd like to show you something that makes your blood cold,
something to alarm you, your dangerous
shadow.
But my eyes have rolled under the dresser
and I've forgotten your name. I can't find the way I came in from and I'm worried I left the car running.
