BEAR LODGE
INTRODUCTION TO BEAR ROCK CLIMBING
Information Sheet

• Bears, Stuffies and Anipals are all welcome
• Previous Climbing or Mountaineering Experience not required but this course is also suitable for newer members of #MountaineeringBears.
• The course will include rock climbing skills for #MountaineeringBears, including rope-work, belaying, safety, balance and climbing moves, abseiling and team work. It will cover climbing routes graded easily bearable to very difficult but bearable.
• The course will be taught by fully qualified mountaineering bear instructors, and with a high ratio of instructors to participants.
• The course will take place on some of the some of the best climbing crags in the UK and we promise you a fun and thrilling time.
• Bear Lodge will prepare the course in advance and it will the be shared as a digital interactive event live on Bluesky. The day and time for each adventure will be arranged with the team closer to the time.
• To take part please post the following photo’s of each student tagging Munro in.
• A forward facing photo, standing if you can.
• A sideward facing photo, again standing if possible
• A back view photo. Standing or if you can’t stand propped over the a pillow or similar.
• One sitting photo, if you can sit..
• If you have a ruck sack or any other mountaineering clothes gear or ropes please wear them for your photos. We have a full range of equipment so pleased don’t worry if haven’t any,
• If you have previously sent photos to Bear Lodge we may have them on file and can look them out if you would like us too.

Mountaineering Bear activities do involve some risk and can be dangerous. At Bear Lodge we take great care to minimise the risks, but accidents , although rare, can happen and may appear very alarming.
No bears, stuffies or anipals will be harmed participating in a Bear Lodge digital activity, put please remember to be very careful if practising at home!

BEAR LODGE
ADVANCED BEAR ROCK CLIMBING

Placing various types of climbing gear and protection. Multi-pitch climbing. Advanced climbing skills and more severe routes (grades barely bearable to severely unbearable)
• The course will be taught by fully qualified mountaineering bear instructors, and with a high ratio of instructors to participants.
