Jools Wilson @bearsgetcrafty.bsky.social · 3hTiny owls: I tried to make a collage owl but the layers were too thick for the brooch and the cutting was too fiddly for my eyes, so comprised by printing out owls I made last year and painting on top. I think I like them. Not sure yet. 260
Jools Wilson @bearsgetcrafty.bsky.social · 3hThanks. I've spun and knitted a little wool, and I've loads of unspun wool, so I'm going to have fun messing about. 110

Jools Wilson @bearsgetcrafty.bsky.social · 12hI'm thinking about standing stone Christmas decorations I saw on here last year. Now my brain wants me to make my own felt. So that it's wool not synthetic, and not a flat colour. Anyone wet felted? Or could knit them. I've got some nice grey herdwick wool to spin.... 🧠 - I like to over complicate 240

Jools Wilson @bearsgetcrafty.bsky.social · 08/10/2026Or he won't be poorly and we'll spend less. Who knows. How has this all got so unreasonably expensive? 100
Jools Wilson @bearsgetcrafty.bsky.social · 08/10/2026It's a bit scary to think about no insurance, but the premiums are scary and will only get higher. Worst case is spending loads of our savings, or insurance price getting higher and higher, if he's poorly a lot. Either way it'll be expensive. 200
Jools Wilson @bearsgetcrafty.bsky.social · 08/10/2026Started a spreadsheet to compare insurance pay out with claimable vet's bills for Aslan. At £1,200 per year + £199 excess per condition, if condition is under control & has 1 flair up a year requiring extra medication (which is currently working 🤞) we'd be £400 a year better off without insurance. 100

I'd argue that the correct date is the day the boat arrives to gobble up Brighton’s swim buoys, leaving the sea a little less colourful and surprisingly empty until spring. 2303
