i would start with 5, since that has both more missions and mission variety, so you'll have more time to build up your skills and meet 4's score attack focus. then 0 is the best of both of those worlds (and a prequel to 5 lol) AC7 is easily accessible, but about as hard on normal as AC5 is on hard

final notes: -i love how wacky and stylized they were willing to go with character animations, despite the otherwise realistic character models -yet another game where the characters are well-cast but people's pronunciations are all over the place -i guess capcom's also passed on doing no-loot nioh?

the upgrading aspect was dull, especially when pragmata handled most of that much better, but they were at least wise enough to limit how many kinds of enhancement materials there were, meaning i only had useless surplus of anything by the end of the game (even with clearing all the side missions)

rolled credits on onimusha: way of the sword last night. i truly appreciate how it kept ramping things up and then hit a point where it became seriously challenging. i bet that point isn't the same for everyone, but i imagine it'd still feel natural- it's always been one lesson at a time, hasn't it?
