the upgrading aspect was dull, especially when pragmata handled most of that much better, but they were at least wise enough to limit how many kinds of enhancement materials there were, meaning i only had useless surplus of anything by the end of the game (even with clearing all the side missions)

rolled credits on onimusha: way of the sword last night. i truly appreciate how it kept ramping things up and then hit a point where it became seriously challenging. i bet that point isn't the same for everyone, but i imagine it'd still feel natural- it's always been one lesson at a time, hasn't it?

oh my god code vein 2 is adding an anti-DLSS 5 option in the 2.0 update

finished the dynasty warriors origins DLC. it *is* overpriced, but it points towards a lot of bold ideas going forward with the series that i really hope they can capitalize on (especially the map battles, which would be great in a new empires title) the dialogue wasn't as gay though so, -69 points

cleared save file for dynasty warriors origins with the symbols for the three story routes and four DLC stories cleared

i was kinda interested in one of those new GameSir Tarantula Pro pads, but they replaced the little bonus shoulder buttons with these awful bendy paddle things which can apparently wiggle an absolute ton, but not be removed. obviously this aspect was designed by satan

there are still a few gamepads that i've got my eye on, but they're all notably more expensive, and i get warier as the feature list gets longer. for the curious, they're the Retro Fighters Defender Pro, Leadjoy Saber Plus, and very limited and pricey Void Genesis (83 USD *before* shipping)
