I think nearly the entire Horror genre boils down to the idea that it is worthwhile to fight until your very last breath. Even, and maybe especially, when there is no hope.

AH WOW! I cannot recommend this Clip tool enough!! I always have to break panel frames on my comics the long way by just drawing above all my other layers and having to leave the original panel behind but this tool lets you make the panel the shape you need!! assets.clip-studio.com/en-us/detail...

"Your life should not be a museum." "Being alive is as special an occasion as it gets."

An image of three screenshotted tweets. The original from user @hell_doe: "Thinking about the girl who bought me coffee from Texas and joked that I would have to ration it out for special occasions. My friend, I do not save my good things. Being alive is as special an occasion as it gets."

User Mike Hamilton, RIV tweeted a screenshot of the original tweet to say: "being alive is as special an occasion as it gets" fundamentally altered my brain."

User Oliver Darkshire quote tweeted Hamilton to say, "Ten years as an antiquarian, hearing nothing but "my relative kept these untouched in a box their whole life but they died and I don't want this stuff" has radicalized me. annotate the books. use the china. wear the clothes until they wear out. your life should not be a museum."

This is no joke! Making comics is absolutely one of the best way to improve your art. It forces you to draw so many things from angles you never expected. Its awesome!

4 types of characters I write 1. Quirky, upbeat with no worries in the world (or so it seems) 2. Calm and long suffering 3. Reserved and lil shy but throws fists without hesitation when the right buttons are pushed. (Also control freak) 4. Femme fatale (you haven’t seen much of them yet, tho. 😜)

Meanwhile when I got rejected I kept making the project anyway bc I just rrl want it to exist! 💪😤 But ppl who can accept defeat and use it as motivation for a new project are seriously amazing. What an awesome ability to have.

One thing Jack and Walter have in common: neither of them got over losing the woman they loved and cherished 🥺

Old sketches from Patreon and proof that the beach arc in ‘Kitten’ was originally written for Walter and Jack. I had (and still have) so much material for these two, the ‘Katzen’ comic could easily last into the 2030’s…so I reworked this arc and switched it over to ‘Kitten’ back in 2022 🤷‍♀️

Old tutorial for school. How to color for character design! This is just one way to approach it, so don't take it as the be all and end all. #Art #Tutorial #Artsky #Color

Choose a single color that you feel represents the character. Add similar hues as secondary colors. Then, add a pop color as an accent that contrasts against the scheme you set up.

Consider how your character looks against their environment and supporting cast. Are they meant to stand out or sink in? What does that thematically imply about their role in the story?

Word! Keep outfits as simple as possible. Instead, add details to face and hair. It’s more enjoyable to draw and your readers focus more on a character’s head anyway. So don’t stress yourself over a cool leather jacket with hundreds of buttons…unless you enjoy drawing that. In that case you do you🤗

Hey! Don't forget *NOT* to use the iOS Patreon app to buy things or subscribe to memberships because the app store now has a 30% fee which either the creator is covering themselves or is increasing the price on whatever you're buying (patreon emailed me today to tell me I could choose which)
