Not the main point, but is that an AI Saddiq Khan there??

Like zero attempt to show that these changes are actually due to AI, or interrogation of the fact that there are other things shaping the jobs market

Sorry but what the fuck is this?? AI increased jobs for electricians and plumbers? Or are there maybe other factors that might be influencing change in jobs?

Although recent evidence is that they're actually pretty good at it! Never going to be perfect but left bloc seems to have been pretty efficient in both 2024 and by-elections

Massive points deduction for this season so they take one of the relegation spots, and then pop them in the National League for next year - with only 1 relegated from League 2 to make the numbers work?

Stuff like 'photos of film stars in their 1950s kitchens' also really brings home relative wealth as well. My kitchen's waaaay nicer!

Eugh, writing to try to sound clever rather than writing to communicate. And ☠️ at 'morphologies'

'It'll be easier to work, travel and live in Europe' doesn't seem like a particularly difficult message to land!

August 2026 Nepal-Tibet floods - AntarcticGlaciers.org
On 26th August 2026, devastating floods hit Nepal and Tibet. At time of writing, 1400 people were missing, and 270 bodies had been recovered, but this toll is sadly expected to rise. The flooding hit ...

So many tech people seem to see the conflict between parenting and work as one in which work is the natural and moral victor. If you’re going to automate an aspect of your life, why wouldn’t it be the meetings rather than the spending quality time with your teenager?!

Two birds with one stone - colour piece from a college football game, ideally with a red/blue matchup?

Not disagreeing, but also - it's Thetford. They were attacking 'Portuguese pubs' after Euro 2004. . .just a lot of people spoiling for a fight with immigrants

Quotes: "during our period of study (1993-2024), mechanisms designed to regulate spending tended towards input control and short-term decision-making, struggled to support strategic investment and often failed to deliver sustained improvements in outcomes."

It'd be nice to have some kind of acknowledgement that in the real world small boat crossings are *already* way down on where they were (and then what that means, why, and legal routes)

Apart from anything else, 'we should let the markets decide' - I mean sure, but they have already, and their choice is very much 'wind and solar thanks'!

This statement by UEFA on FIFA attempting to sell off the World Cup gave me goosebumps, what a statement - the beautiful game deserves no less “As so long as Europe has a voice, it will never be for sale.”

Absolutely, feels like a real no-brainer. And if we can't invest in keeping schools and healthcare settings a safe temperature what are we really doing?

Unions should have been pushing hard for retraining for ages now - we know we've got a chronic green skills gap so lean into that!

Tend to agree with you, sitting here with schools closed tomorrow and Thursday because a political choice has been repeatedly made that a) adapting schools isn't really a priority, and b) it doesn't really matter if new builds stay cool or not!
