Saw this dark red dawn from the parking lot at work. But minutes count in a sunrise pic. It was gone by the time I made it to the break room. So I have stubbornly added back the red sky. 😤😂

Twosday twins 2 Stargazer lilies in my summer garden. I peeled off some scales off 2 bulbs and planting them in pots asap. Not getting any seeds this y. I accidentally broke the plant with seed pods last month. Hopefully the scales would grow! #stargazerlilies #fragrantlflowers #mygarden

2 deep pink stargazer lilies in my garden on a sunny day in July. The bell flowers resemble stars when they're fully open. The frilly petals are deep pink with maroon spots and white edges. Long graceful creamy yellow filaments with burnt orange pollen covering the anthers grow in the center of the flowers. Rounded light green stigmas grow among Ithe filaments or whatever those are called. Blurry dark green leaves n bright green leaves are in the background. A dark green metal stake is also visible

A couple of #Deer photos to share. The first one is from yesterday evening, #Fawns Danny and Desi were the early birds for seeds. Please admire their little nubby antlers! And the second one features a shy doe and her female fawn (spots faded, no baby antlers). Name suggestions?

Two male fawns eating birdseed off rocks, in the backyard. Danny is on the left and his antler nubs are noticeable. Desi is on the right, with the lighter colored coat, and smaller antler nubs. We think Danny is several weeks older than Desi, but both born this year.
Grass, trees, and shrubs in the background. A winding slate path runs through the yard too.

Two shy female deer. The mom is the one walking away from the camera, while her fawn is facing the camera with her head up. When they are side by side the adult doe is noticeably bigger than her fawn. The fawn has lost all her spots, and does not have antler nubs, so we know she is female. We have seen this pair come by for a few weeks now, but they are so skittish when I try to take photos. This is the best pic out of many attempts.
