Turned on cable news and every network is covering the second day of the market crashing except Fox which is talking about DEI and the southern border. Even the soft morning shows have tickers showing the plunge. If you’re watching Fox you get propaganda. Hope MAGA g-ma and g-pa like cat food.

Boy, does this feel familiar. Everyone I know in the creative field is dealing with the ground falling out from underneath them. It's the end of the world as we know it and I (don't) feel fine.

Photo editors who treat photographers as a solution to their problem of having an assignment suck. It’s super shitty for a photo ed to contact several photographers because they live in proximity to the assignment and then give the job to the first person who responds like they won a prize.

I've been thinking a lot about that bumper sticker which says "everything looks like a conspiracy theory when you don't understand how anything works" and folks it's pretty obvious to me that the people in power right now have absolutely no desire to understand how anything works.

It seems almost unavoidable at this point that we are headed for a deep, deep recession. Just based on 200K+ federal firings & pullback of contracts, the March employment report (to be released April 4) seems certain to show bigger job losses than any month ever outside of a few in 2008-9 and 2020.
