Well... I WAS working on a new page for a #Zine I'll be premiering at this weekends #Indie #A2CAF. Special shout-out to @aadl.org & @athenaeumcomicart.bsky.social Sean for putting on this event! Saturday can't get here soon enough! #Comix #Cat

I've been wanting to do #fanart of #BummerComix own Joner for ages! I was inspired by the #Spawn #10 cover where he meets #CerebusTheAardvark who remarks about being in color. My Jake and Seeker are usually in black n' white, & Joner is such a colorful character! #indie #comix #zine #variantcover

Incredible resource! I've always admired hand letterers...I sadly am not one. Maybe someday, but not currently haha. Do happy #LetterersAppreciationDay to you all who rock it out!

Another incredible installment! @confusionmi.bsky.social is knocking it out of the park. I loved @jimchines.com & @slashnburnett.bsky.social's tales of indie and professional publishing. Really got me thinking!

I am a sucker for @roboticsteve.bsky.social's character Saber and her vaguely erotic threats, so with the predicament she's currently in I couldn't resist doing some #FanArt! Hope I did her justice!

Given, lets be real, the last decade or so has been, I am very proud of my home state for rocking this out! It's good to see some hope again because damn has that been lacking for far too long.

How to break into comics.

A young woman points a gun at an editor while talking on the phone to a comic creator, saying "Would you mind readymy manga? I would appyit very much if you did. If it's too far for your convenience, I don't mind coming to you". From Undead Unluck.

One important takeaway: with the current state of publishing, the only way to ensure your money is going to make it to the artist whose work you’re buying is to buy it from the artist directly whenever possible.

Call it the naiveté of youth, but I really miss when something, hell...ANYTHING mattered. It just all feels so pointless and empty. Pseudo-validation. Trying ones damnedest to make things work, but really to no end. It's all vapid bullshit but we're expected to just keep going. What's the point?
