Starting a new medical school is fun. I hired my first faculty member 6 months ago. She is a wonderfully bright pharmacology professor. Great teacher, wonderful researcher... ...then today I found out she doesn't like Ted Lasso... Guess I'll have to fire her and look for a new pharmacologist..

My current M2 class is getting ready to enter dedicated Step 1 studying in a week. All the stats I use to predict Step 1 success has me very excited about how this class is going to perform. This has been one of my favorite classes in 20ish years, not just academically, they have been a fun group

I’m going to take this opportunity to point out that at one of my previous institutions I taught a Nutritional Biochemistry course for M2s and had an entire 3-hour block covering the evaluation of dietary supplements. A third of that session was devoted to debunking claims made on the Dr. Oz show
