I've been working on this for over a year: I'm remaking all of Ocarina of Time's prerenders in 3D, trying to match the N64 style rather than the 3DS one. The provisional name is OoT unJPEG. It will be distributed as both a romhack that runs on real N64 hardware and a mod for Zelda 64 Recompiled.

Fun DeS croc facts: nobody knew the animations were in game files until pretty dang recently. They were stored within model data for those ice guys from King's Field 4 in an out-of-date animation format. I made an educated guess on what they were, and hey, yep! Crocodile animations! The whole time!

Really Roughly: 1: Line Art 2: Refining Line art by softening some edges, darkening some more, and highlighting selectively 3: Taking chunks of the image and varying their brightness/hue a bit to create variety 4: Overlay Texture (photo or painted) and make small hand drawn tweaks to satisfaction
