I am really, really excited about these books. They still need to be glued, but they are trimmed and they are just so colorful and I love them!! Be sure to keep an eye on my Ko-fi for when they may be available! (Probably going to Pride first though!)

I hate wasting paper. But, because of the size of the end pages, I cut off a lot to make my 12x12's fit the 8.5x11. BUT! I've figured out what to do with the offcuts that are book themed! Bookmarks! Since I'm Bat Feathers, I'm making feather bookmarks from the offcuts! They will be laminated!

Many colorful bookmarks of a variety of styles, but all look like feathers.

They will eventually be laminated.

Making of Books is going pretty well. I'm devastated to hear about JoAnn though. JoAnn has been a staple for my entire life. I loved the stores, the wild fabrics, and the amazing deals. I will admit I loved the boxes and mugs that they sold around Halloween. I have so many cute little Witchy cups.

Any artists have experience with Printful for their POD prints? How do you like the quality? Squarespace doesn't integrate with INPRNT (ugh) and I'd like to be able to offer more print images without buying a bunch up front/warehousing them.

Hello!! I’m BatFeathers! I’m a bookbinder! I love taking a stack of pages, some glue, a little fabric, and thread, and make a book out of it! I also will bind your book or fic! The largest book I’ve ever made was over 3k pages!!

The background has a lot of fun things. A decanter with a skull and cross bones, several mimikyu,and Zelda posters.

Books in progress. You can see several colored endpages, a book cloth, some precut book boards with a text block between them.

One of my favorite books!! The cover is Australia fairy bread, and the inside cover is neon flamingoes. It’s pink and fun and a great conversation!!

Here are three books on my work desks. One is rainbow butterflies, another shows lunar cycles on a space purple background, the other is rainbow scales. Each have a silicone page wrapped around the covers to prevent sticking. They’re bound tightly together, while the glue dries.

What a month it has been!! My desk is still a monument to the destruction wrought by tiny kitten claws. Our kittens are quite the jumpers, which does mean that they like to jump on statues. That’s dangerous for them and the statues, so we’ve placed them safely on my binding desk till we can get

Just got back from the post office and one of the best interactions with staff. She was so nice! I shipped off a book! I’m so excited when I get to do that!! Also, look at this little guy from the post office. I love him. :) The sleet has started, so no more going out tonight!

To teach kids about using sources, my friend’s nephew did a project on coyotes but one of the books they got from amazon said coyotes are 23 feet long. So, Batty, how was your Halloweek? Great!! I’ve got a lot more books to work on!! I’ve decided to do 100 page books, as their price point is a little better, and I’ll be able to move more of them at fairs. :) So that’s fun! Here’s a little behind the scenes!

These are done! They’re now in their binder clips and are resting and drying. The last thing I need to do on these four is release them, stamp them, photograph them, and list them for sale. They’re another four finished, with another five to be finished tomorrow!

Nine book covers finally glued together! That’s my favorite part of making books, putting together the book covers. Now I just need to wait till they’re dry, put in the text blocks, photograph them, and get them onto the site. This will make 34 books, which is about 1/3rd of the way to my goal!

Been working on these nine books around living life. I’ve got nine text blocks with cover pages attached and four covers ready. Five more will be done tomorrow, hopefully! I’ll count the books after these are finished, and then start printing more pages and stitching more text blocks!
