I took many nice foot path reference pictures which will serve BOOK 2 very well. I think a lot about how the ground is around pathways, in a premodern context. Soon, back to work!

Since we're promoting Canadian work, look no further! Thoughtfully slow, optimistic, weirdo, slice-of-life scifi with a rural feel! 4 stand alone books, all feeding a larger narrative! Collaborative work between two brothers! Serialized, low-stakes comics for discerning readers! award winning!

This is a funny joke I put in for myself. A man too powerful and arrogant to brush aside a curtain, the alternative of course being to just walk through it. The book has many such little gags.

This is ostensibly a light hearted little story I am drawing that Simon wrote. That said, I have now been studying the challenger explosion for reference, which reminds me of a review of my favorite writer that was something like "no other author so loved the smell of a rotting corpse".

I want some studio to make an MMO (or like sea of thieves scale) flight simulator, where you fly customizable Porco Rosso style float planes. You would make so much money, I promise you. Nobody has truly filled the multiplayer flight sim niche. Exploring archipelagos, scavenging old planes comeon

Making images is not sufficient. All artwork is in service and limited by its context. I remember in school artist's sketches being very popular. The context of this was just art students enthusiastic about process. As an artist, you cannot be satisfied with merely inspiring others to rip you off.

Watching looney tunes from the 1940s, and the question presents itself, is porky pig the bourgeoisie? I think he is. Also is Elmer fudd Irish? Also did you know he was initially just trying to take a picture of bugs bunny? take that, nature appreciators

Perhaps the majority of an elderly person's fantasy literature (from the 80s and 90s). Having just come from an Indigo, I can assure you "mantasy" would definitely be a departure from what is currently the fantasy zeitgeist.

hard to find reference of those plastic 6 pack holders, which is good for wildlife I suppose, demonstrating they have been largely supplanted by cardboard. I have cut many a 6 pack girdle into strips in my time, to save the turtles.

The Castle Automatic is filled with golems who serve one of four courts: Swords, Cups, Pentacles, and Wands. Each royal of the court was modeled by the dungeon's creator on a specific person from humanity's ancient past--a reference nobody living understands today.

Book 4 is where I finally fully separate the three main storylines into their own entries. Patrick, Orlando and Marley each get a full stand-alone chapter and this is how I hope to continue going forward. Choosing one of the three paths and telling a story.

cover of ARC29 4.1 Patrick is lighting a joint in front of a fire, Cyril holds a sledgehammer behind him.

cover of ARC29 4.2 Marley is punching someone off camera, a crunch crunch sound is visible

cover of ARC29 4.3 a trippy image of someone running in multiple moments on a strange background. Ominous hum is written in a box at the bottom.

Cover of HOME 4, a composite image of characters and scenes from the book.

Fun fact: Basileus is the source of one of the quotes in The Castle Automatic. It is a good comic. It is a comic you should buy and a comic you should read.

A two page introductory spread for a dungeon level in The Castle Automatic. The flavor quote from Basileus is: “Presupposition is the chief alchemy by which a wise man is transformed into a stubborn child.”
- Basileus, Andrew Whyte
