I took many nice foot path reference pictures which will serve BOOK 2 very well. I think a lot about how the ground is around pathways, in a premodern context. Soon, back to work!

lol similarly I find myself wanting to size down at times, just to try something different. Thanks for reading man and good luck with your own work!

Hopefully the size is not too inconvenient. I always wanted to do a big BD style hardcover, but the pages were drawn to more American dimensions. Ended up making it rather tall.

Means a lot man thanks. Sorry for the bigness, its mostly arrogance I think. I’ll be trying to get the juice (finances) flowing for book 2 soon.

This is a good example of the limits of basic economic reasoning. Its logic is not really incorrect, but its premises are, and they are in a rather interesting way that probably extends beyond NFTs to other parts of the economy. Ironically maybe to diamonds as well.

Praise to the backers! After much leg work the books have been shipped. I still have many copies so if you want one, stay tuned, I will set up a way to order soon. Special thanks to @simonroy.bsky.social for his wisdom and slave master-esque whip cracking.

Since we're promoting Canadian work, look no further! Thoughtfully slow, optimistic, weirdo, slice-of-life scifi with a rural feel! 4 stand alone books, all feeding a larger narrative! Collaborative work between two brothers! Serialized, low-stakes comics for discerning readers! award winning!

This is a funny joke I put in for myself. A man too powerful and arrogant to brush aside a curtain, the alternative of course being to just walk through it. The book has many such little gags.

Until the selfish farmer arrives to saw it off you for his convenience. Alternatively, because it is curling around and growing back into your skull and will kill you. Both work I think.

What powers of grim creation a man must have to receive such a compliment. If anyone is familiar with this quotation, let me know, I think I read it in the forward to a collection of Poe's short stories but cannot find it.

This is ostensibly a light hearted little story I am drawing that Simon wrote. That said, I have now been studying the challenger explosion for reference, which reminds me of a review of my favorite writer that was something like "no other author so loved the smell of a rotting corpse".

100 percent you have the technology, but you lack the will, the spirit, the vision. Let me be a damn pig in a dang ol interwar float plane, flying around a fantasy version of the Mediterranean!

I want some studio to make an MMO (or like sea of thieves scale) flight simulator, where you fly customizable Porco Rosso style float planes. You would make so much money, I promise you. Nobody has truly filled the multiplayer flight sim niche. Exploring archipelagos, scavenging old planes comeon

Making images is not sufficient. All artwork is in service and limited by its context. I remember in school artist's sketches being very popular. The context of this was just art students enthusiastic about process. As an artist, you cannot be satisfied with merely inspiring others to rip you off.

Fan fiction is the democratized variant of the reboot or perpetual sequel. The marketing edge is comfort in a familiar property, which consumers construe as quality of the writing. On the other end, authors are able to automatically surmount the initial barrier to entry for unknown fiction.

Thank you for noticing. This is an almost arbitrary choice I made based off a quote I vaguely remember by Herge, where he said "why would I make the captains coat a bit purple here and a bit yellow there? His coat is blue!"
