On Wednesday I spoke at 2nd reading of Bill S-206 — a proposal to create a national framework for a Guaranteed Livable Basic Income (GLBI). Too many people are struggling to meet their most basic needs. It's time for Canada to invest in a system that leaves no one behind. #GLBI #PovertyReduction

Today we honour the memory of missing and murdered Indigenous women and girls and 2SLGBTQI+ people. This day brings awareness to the gendered violence experienced by Indigenous women and 2SLGBTQI+ people. The red dresses call the spirits of the missing back to their loved ones.

The #CanadaDisabilityBenefit (CBD) is a new program for low-income disabled people in Canada. it is a flawed program (rates are too low, eligibility criteria too narrow, will be hard to access), but we want federal parties to commit to IMPROVING the CDB in their #election platforms!! 🚫✂️ #nocuts
