Reconciliation is an ongoing journey. Today, we had the honour to hear from residential school survivors, and the survivors living with intergenerational trauma after. We also watched beautiful performances and heard a reminder to keep Indigenous languages and art forms alive. #NDTR #Calgary

When workers cannot afford transportation, they lose access to employment, education and services. Over half of Low Income Transit Pass users are employed and demand has risen. More workers can not afford full fares, which have risen by 11% since 2023. enoughforall.ca/articles/a-j... #Calgary

Starting today, some Calgarians may see an extra payment in their account through the new Canada Groceries and Essentials Benefit. VCC and Enough for All Champions have advocated for stronger income supports that help people afford the basics. This new benefit reflects progress toward that goal.
