Video Synthesis in TouchDesigner Tutorial (WAVE_WARP From Scratch) youtu.be/Jxd-1MHkoR0 I just released v1.6 of my latest tool, and it’s been a 6 month journey. That said, it only takes 30 minutes to learn the underlying #touchdesigner network

In a previous life I made music videos. In this life you either didn’t know, I’ve said no, or you’re Real Numbers 💕

It’s not a data center, it’s cloud storage and processing support infrastructure duh

In fact, they tend to deter them from starting. Iran is two weeks away from getting our foot off their neck! Gotta act now

I’m going to put “expert” somewhere on my resume, based solely on how active I was on Reddit before 2020

This #videosynth was supposed to be low hanging fruit on my to-do list, but I went all out on this Ui and Ux for the last few months. Anyways: WAVE WARP Video Synthesis Engine for #TouchDesigner youtu.be/hLYKK1N2vPY

Meta-progression is the most boring game design element ever. I’m at 99% unlocked on Hyperspace Dogfights because there’s still interesting challenge and synergies. If I could just stat boost between runs I’d either be at 100% months ago or walked away from the grind.

I’ve been working on some new ways to play with waveforms in #touchdesigner and have my first proper #videosynthesis type component nearing completion. Consider this a teaser while I consider it a test of whether or not I can still explain myself. More soon :)

The fact there was ever an openly acceptable culture of high school girls doing professional massages for wealthy men should have signaled to everything we’re finally learning about

I really didn’t want to record and edit a #touchdesigner tutorial today, but it’s the submission date for a hackathon I entered three weeks ago. Yesterday Renee Nicole Good was murdered by 🖕ICE🖕 on the backside of my old block, and we’re all having 2020 flashbacks. Anyways, 👐 youtu.be/5M5d21H43LM

There’s a dopamine aspect for sure, but I have around 300 mutuals I respect, don’t know irl, and appreciate the glimpses into their thoughts and creativity. The app has been amazing at times, but it’s been pure shit for a year because of exactly what OP is pointing out, and that’s not even in effect

Wear colors, but maybe not red for a while. I know we’re all feeling black and grey but the last thing we need is that reflected in everything we see these days.

Agreed💯 And hey I don't know if you've ever seen this document, our DoD made it after WWII. He who many call our President is a clear-cut fascist as defined by our own government in 1945. I encourage you and everyone to read it, it's not very long and well worth it. archive.org/details/Army...

Customizing components 3/3 - Thus concludes this #touchdesigner #beginnertutorial - and the conclusion of my chopping a ten minute vid into three parts experiment.

Customizing #touchdesigner components #tutorial pt.2b - After setting up the reaction diffusion in the last part we start linking all the controls we want on our base comp. In the next vid we’ll wrap It up by fine tuning the new controls.

Customizing components (Pt. 2a) #touchdesigner #tutorial and the first step is to set up something to control. Here we make a quick lil reaction diffusion feedback loop.

Basement Vibes @basementvibes.bsky.social · 30/07/2025

I’ve been answering all the beginner #touchdesigner questions on TikTok this week. We’ve mostly been talking about organizing bigger projects, and customizing components. I’ll try to share what I still worth watching under the 3 minute cap. I spend this up to fit, sorry the ensuing demonic autotune

010

Basement Vibes @basementvibes.bsky.social · 18/07/2025

I want to make educational resources and tutorials for #touchdesigner again, but this Waveform Distortions project would have to be a 48 hour livestream marathon rebuild. That ain’t happening so maybe I’ll figure out how to make digestible and streamlined segments that make up this framework

040

Basement Vibes @basementvibes.bsky.social · 18/07/2025

#touchdesigner memories from my first dev year coming full circle. The collective consciousness and my own curiosities in alignment, which wouldn’t happen without sharing little moments of inspiration and progress. I’ll be working on Waveform Distortions project for one more month and then?

020

Basement Vibes @basementvibes.bsky.social · 18/07/2025

Looks a lot like #generative #art to me. Sorry for filming in both orientations

Basement Vibes @basementvibes.bsky.social · 15/07/2025

Yo, thanks! I leveled up my processes in so many ways on this. I don’t think this is the platform to really dig into it, but I’m excited to share a lot of what I learned now that I’m checking off the very last of my to-do list

010

Basement Vibes @basementvibes.bsky.social · 15/07/2025

I’ve been working on the same #touchdesigner project for four months. It takes any video source and scrambles it using any audio source. This is exactly the kind of thing that will be decimated by heavy compression so let’s see how it looks in 3… 2… 1…

No shower for days, cameras trained on the toilet, women crammed into cells 'like sardines,' among the allegations.

I think I’m just holding a spot here on BS until until video compression isn’t pinching every penny. I’m finally getting back into making #touchdesigner tutorials again. Maybe I’ll be back with part 1 on getting this effect tomorrow?

Ooh I love the idea of looking at past years too! I’m not very code inclined either, and a first attempt at anything is lucky to resemble art lol. Luckily inspiration and new frontiers are bigger dopamine hits than showcasing art that is supposed to be finished. Tag me if you revisit Genuary!
