Ukrainian forces strike bridges and military sites in Crimea and Russia
The bridge over the North Crimean Canal is used by Russian forces to support their military logistics. On September 6 and 7, Ukrainian defense forces struck several Russian military targets in temporarily occupied territories. Ukraine’s General Staff reported the operations on Monday.
"In the area of Vladyslavivka, in temporarily occupied Ukrainian Crimea, a railway bridge over the North Crimean Canal was hit. The bridge is used by Russian forces to ensure military logistics," the statement said.
Ukrainian forces also struck Russian command posts in Nizhniy Nagolchyk and Dolzhanske in Luhansk region, as well as in Azovske, Zaporizhzhia region. In the town of Perekop in temporarily occupied Crimea, they hit an automated Grenader reconnaissance post. An ammunition depot used by Russian occupying forces was struck near Teplye, Luhansk region.
"The extent of the losses is being clarified. Work against key Russian military objectives is ongoing."
Earlier, Ukrainian defense forces also targeted several sites inside Russia, including oil refineries in the Ryazan, Perm, and Tatarstan regions, President Volodymyr Zelensky said.
Also today in the Russian city of Perm, smoke was seen rising near the area of the Perm Powder Plant and the PZ Mashinostroitel facility. These are strategic defense enterprises.
