The Harper/Mattingly noise doesn’t happen if this team just performs. This series in Miami could’ve been a sweep (if they’re not careful, it still could be in the other direction)

Phillies got some good luck on balls to right field in that inning

Proposing another constriction of the MLB draft would further dismantle the minor leagues. How in the world would sometime thing like that work to grow the sport when the middle of the country would lose a ton of their MiLB teams

I just saw flashes of James Norwood against the Mets

So Cristopher Sánchez has gone from •AAAA arm •only pitches well at home •has to decrease his velocity to pitch well •snubbed by All-Star Game, unanimous Cy Young runner-up •an inning away from the longest scoreless streak by a left handed pitcher Hell of a run

The A’s go to the bullpen trying to protect a 1-run lead. Their bullpen as a unit has a 4.82 ERA and a 1.49 WHIP

An opposite field double against a lefty feels like a good sign from Kyle Schwarber

The funniest thing about the Bichette deal is I still think the Phillies are a better team than the Mets

Not sure how there aren’t at least 20 MLB owners who actively hate what the Dodgers and Mets just did in the past 15 hours

$50 a year for Kyle Tucker feels outrageous but it’s the Mets. Let them overspend

Don Mattingly is officially the Phillies next bench coach. A lot of baseball IQ just hit the Phillies’ clubhouse
