If I stick to positives today, it would mostly consist of Timber. Kamada decent but played his role in our conceding of the first, and Tomiyasu impressive albeit I've yet to see the third goal back & his role in it. The rest were very much average at best. Decent goal for JLS.

My overriding feeling on the first half is that anyone who clapped Disasi off needs their head testing. Completely unnecessary and has ruined us. He had already "played" his role when he left Emerson unmarked for a free header for the equaliser. And still applauded off! Ffs!

Has Cheick spread his midweek illness around?? Quite a few names missing today. Although I'm not against Wharton as captain, it does highlight the lack of leaders we have in our starting XI. Found myself wondering on Tuesday who would take it if Hughes was to be subbed off.

Just remembered that sensational team move where we played some lovely one touch football from our own penalty box all the way to the other end, only for it to be Will Hughes running on to the last through ball 😂 would have been some goal!

Doesn't feel like tonight's game will be that well attended, for various reasons all of which are valid. If I wasn't 10/15 mins down the road, or nursing an injury preventing myself from my usual TNF kickabout, I probably wouldn't be making the effort myself. Just hope Boro take it easy on us!

I'm a fan of Richards, but it was clear on a number of occasions how his CB companions helped him out in previous seasons. It was evident after losing Marc, and has become even more evident without Lacroix, too. Any defence without them two will be worse off, but this is awful.

Big fan of todays line up, bold move throwing Timber straight in but must have shown Sage he's up for it. McNeil, Guessand & Lerma not making the squad. JP and Sarr to come back in to the equation when fit. Much improved depth on last season that's for sure!

Didn't look good for Chadi Riad that's for sure. I'm all for not spending for the sake of it, but starting the season without a bonified replacement for either Guehi or Lacroix is negligent. Riad's been replaced by someone who has probably played less football than him over the passed 2 years!

Very much a first 45 that has confirmed new season, same issues. Good football until we get in the opposition box. Frustrating scoreline but a decent half to build from.

Savinho joined City for roughly £30m two years ago. Somehow, after a generally disappointing couple of seasons, City have been able to sell him for £85m. That figure is mad, and Spurs are even madder for actually paying it! The transfer market is properly messed up.

Having just looked in to the Man City side today, the CM's at their disposal this season aren't winning them a thing as it stands. Losing Rodri, already lost Silva and Reijnders, and currently only replaced them with Anderson. Bold move when Kovacic & Nico Gonzalez barely played last season.

Am I allowed to say that I'm fairly worried about us defensively heading in to the season, or will I be accused of being hyperbolic because "it's only pre season?" It's also not ideal JPM and Pino not having had any minutes, although there are obvious reasons for that.

Whilst I wouldn't be against some sort of swap involving Johnson and McNeil, given how Mrs McNeil (rightly) tore in to the club after the failed move in Jan I just can't see it. And the move would interest me more due to Johnson's underwhelming Palace career than actually wanting McNeil.

Now get a fucking Lacroix replacement in. & do it quickly. Expecting Sage to work miracles with no Lacroix & a defence which hasn’t yet brought in a proper Guehi replacement/understudy is not fair & sets him off at a massive disadvantage. Leaving this until the end of the window would be madness.

Seems that clubs who used to have the pick of Europe's best players are now largely buying players already established in the PL; Mbuemo, Cunha, Lacroix, Guehi, possibly Guimaraes etc. Feels like this happening more frequently than previously, or is it just me?

With Chelsea seemingly flipping their transfer policy a full 180º, they may as well go all out to get Cech out of retirement. The thought of yet another madness of a transfer window and still starting with the season with Sanchez in goal is both laughable and baffling!
