Yes, I saw a couple of posts yesterday on unprecedented drought across the whole of France. Also trees dying in Switzerland due to drought, NW Europe habitats are suffering. The Summer drying of once permanent wetlands may be the new normal.

Pine Martens are now becoming widespread throughout many parts of Galloway. They have predated most of the pied flycatcher nest boxes in a local wood but hopefully will reduce a massive recent influx of grey squirrels into Kirkcudbright. 3 diseased red squirrels already found 😠

It's what we've been saying all along! 💚 This new study published in @natsustain.nature.com shows people still don't realise what a huge difference ditching flying could make. It remains the most UNDERRATED climate action of all. #FlightFree #LowCarbonTravel #ClimateAction

That's a very interesting piece of research. I suppose that those of us who are environmentalists are more informed on the most damaging activities/lifestyles and shouldn't assume the average person is well informed. Buying renewable energy is also VERY important.

Good questions. If cruelty is involved that must be taken into account. The slaughter of Pilot whales in the Faroes is very cruel and should be stopped. African trophy hunting is an emotive subject but experts say it benefits conservation and local people. I am for it.

Brilliant! I like that 'Trainspotting' analogy Kevin. Yesterday on Radio 4 they had that twat Simon Calder explaining how we should now fly to the Baltic rather than the Med in Summer as it's too hot and smokey! Great for weekend trips of course. No mention of the reasons of climate change.

We are witnessing a tipping point. Boreal forests that stored carbon for 1000s of years are now CARBON EMITTERS. Heatwaves make wildfires. Wildfires make more heat. More heat makes more fires. This feedback loop is what scientists warned you about.
