This ‘AI assist’ couldn’t reason an alternative explanation for the information presented. It could only think inside the box of its programming. It was like one of those annoying FAQ sections that never answers what I want to know!

I had a perfect example of AS (artificial stupidity) recently when I queried a recommendation from an ‘AI assist’. The poor thing couldn’t cope with my question, which subsequently had to be answered by a human. I wonder whether the AI crashed or burnt out. 1/2

📢 Tories have pledged to abolish Natural England & Environment Agency. A year ago I flagged both as highly exposed to political interference. They've been weakened by yrs of cuts & loss of autonomy. Abolition removes scrutiny but doesn't fix problems christinapagel.substack.com/p/abolishing...

Abolishing our independent public bodies removes scrutiny without fixing the underlying problem
A vulnerability we highlightd a year ago is now Conservative policy

Problem with his ‘repeal’ argument is that the UK had a very significant role in developing much of the EU legislation that he whinges about.

Absolutely wonderful! Both the refugees and the community into which they have been welcomed are having their lives enriched. So, so much better than those shrivelling up their humanity through anger snd hatred.

Politicians and media should not indulge in speculation - let the police do their work. The speed with which the right wing press and Farage point the finger at Iran makes me suspect Russia. The men they arrested look very white-skinned too.

Don’t forget Theresa May’s stupidity in calling a snap GE, then finding herself having to rely on a confidence and supply arrangement with the ardently pro-Brexit DUP. I said at the time that Arlene Foster was the real UK Prime Minister for those crucial 18 months.

I suspect that it’s an intentional reference to the WW2 ‘EIRE’ signs painted along the Irish coast, e.g. at Croaghy Head. If so, it’s brilliant.

RNLI volunteers wear yellow suits in order to be visible. The Patriot Platform people who think that RNLI volunteers are traitors wear black in order not to be seen (recognised). The only yellow they wear is the broad stripe that runs down their backs.

I recently drove through Redditch, where there is one stretch of road with St George flags and Union Jacks cable-tied onto every lamppost. They are all faded, tattered and grubby - it looks awful. The perpetrators have absolutely no respect for either flag.

I would have thought King Charles was a bit ‘woke’ for RefUK. I mean he interprets ‘fid. def.’ as ‘defender of the faiths’, he’s into organic farming, he believes in the need to take action on climate change and doesn’t seem to be a huge fan of the far right.

I remember when Jeremy Corbyn had Laura Kuenssberg appear at a Labour conference. The audience booed and jeered, but Corbyn told them to stop. I think his words were “we don’t do that here”. What a contrast.

This is racism, straight out of the Trump playbook. Reform are trying to turn our great country into a franchise of Trump's America. There are countless British patriots who came here from overseas, many of them refugees we proudly welcomed. That's the kind of country we are.

So, if I understand Nigel Farage's argument correctly it is: "Everyone I trusted and elevated into a position of responsibility is constantly doing crimes that benefit me but of which I somehow have no knowledge. I am a man with the character, judgement, and intelligence to run the country." Ok.

But by Redwood’s own reasoning, the Normans weren’t really French. The first ruler of Normandy was Rollo the Viking, born somewhere in Scandinavia 🤔. They went over to Frankish lands in small boats. These RW nutjobs don’t know anything about history.

Dolly Parton and Donald Trump were both born in 1946. Parton was born into poverty in a one-room cabin in Appalachia. Trump was born a millionaire in one of the most diverse places on Earth. One dedicated her life to love and joy and generosity. The other dedicated his to selfishness and cruelty.
