At this point, though, if someone contends they've never heard of "Bright Lights - Dead City" or Furillo, it may say more about the listener than the song. Or, for that matter, what they want to project to the world.

Just went and had a chat with my tattoo artist about my next tattoo, and it was awesome! She likes all the same nerdy stuff I do, which feels amazing. She gets as excited as I do about the designs, snd finds ways to elevate them 💜

I'm slowly starting to noodle around on my guitar again. Just pitched a little somewhat ambient chord progression for a video for Mortal Shell II! I've tried one other pitch that had a bit of guitar noodling in it that didn't get in.

I’m about to let a five year snap streak die, because this supposed friend of mine just keeps stringing me and my son along for when she can hang out. I’ve resisted breaking this streak for some time, because it felt like giving it up would be to acknowledge the death of the friendship.

Today it's 10 years since I went on a trip for IGN Denmark / Nordics to Seattle, to meet with Bungie and try out the Rise of Iron for the OG Destiny! It was an awesome trip, even if going to Seattle and back again in 72 hours messed me up bad, jetlag-wise :D

Real talk: Don't know who needs to hear this but there's absolutely nothing wrong about being enthusiastic about your interests/hobbies. Life's too short to not talk about things you enjoy in earnest. The world's too cruel for u to hold back the joy you could be putting into it.

I'm still very much enjoying noodling around with my Rewindpix camera, but I need to go some new places to take pictures :D

A picture taken in the evening, showing the silhouettes of a couple of high rise apartment buildings, and a vivid blue sky turning black at the edges, with the last rays of sunshine coming up to paint the skies red and orange (an effect down to the Rewindpix retro camera, no doubt).

I am kinda weirded out by the WH40K Tacticus ads on Reddit. Their ad copy is “if you can’t name three Chaos Primarchs, this game probably isn’t for you.” I’ve read a bunch of WH40K books, and played a bunch of games… but since I haven’t focused on Chaos Space Marines, it’s bot for me? 😂

this one is especially egregious

A single panel comic hand drawn illustration of Barret Wallace from FF7 gesturing disgustedly to a screenshot from nvidia's atrocious DLSS 5 slop that leaked, showing a photo of what was once Cloud Strife from Final Fantasy VII Rebirth, but is now a yassified Al model standing in a flatly lit Instagram environment. I had an absolute blast at the bbbo$ show last night! I loved that he took the Kaj frog puppet from an audience member and spent like 5 minutes talking through it and just having fun on stage with it 😂

Here's one for the sickos! Night Mode makes Mortal Shell II more challenging, but offers some rewards. The Slayer Seal is for those who'd rather have a less difficult (but gloriously filled with riposte) time, but disables achievements.

I fired up Ring Fit Adventure on my Switch 2 today, and I’m sure I’ll be absolutely useless tomorrow due to muscle pain 😂 I don’t understand why Nintendo never made a sequel, or DLC to that. Being the 13th most selling Nintendo game is nothing to sneeze at.

Here's my first batch of #BandcampFriday purchases! A bunch of WMD's albums. I used to have several of these through Indie Royale purchases, but I want them in my Bandcamp library too. If you need some music to relax and de-stress to, I cannot recommend WMD enough! Absolutely love these tunes.

My bandcamp purchases so far: the albums "The Latest In a Series of Personal Crises", "Melancholy", "WMD", "Entelecheia (2024 Remaster)", "2011" and "Limerence" all by the artist WMD.

I saw a van with this branding on (for a carpenter or some such) driving around in Copenhagen. I guess they're only getting away with it because it's Sega's branding they're stealing. If they'd tried that shit with Nintendo's branding they'd have been sued out of existence immediately :D

About to spend a week in the most obviously haunted house I’ve ever been in

The outside view of the farm I’m in, taken with a Rewindpix camera. I forget the filter name, but it made the lit window on the first floor look more sinister than it looked in real life.

The tiny almost closet-sized “office” I’m going to be working out for the next week, like some Stephen King protagonist, or Alan Wake. Picture taken with a Rewindpix camera

I backed the Rewindpix camera on Kickstarter, and just got it today! I think I’m going to have a lot of fun taking pictures that feel like they were taken on a disposable camera :D
