like, Nintendo has NO excuse to release games in the state that they do re: Scarlet&Violet, BDSP, etc. when other companies are out here making games in a similar genre with better visuals, performance, stories, mechanics, more content, etc.

Modern Pokemon games seem fairly competent and defensible right up until the moment you play a Digimon or SMT (incl. Persona) game and you realize that the most popular media franchise in the world has largely been held aloft by sheer brand loyalty for over a decade.

Mini-cotta is a cute name. For something more mythological, how about "agathion"? The word comes from abrahamic mythology and occultism and refers to a familiar spirit that appears in the shape of a person or animal, and can appear in a pot, bottle, or jar. This is what they look like in SMT/Persona

Key art of the demon Agathion from the Shin Megami Tensei franchise. It appears as a pot with the star of David on the outside with a small blue creature with orange eyes and two horn-like antennae peeking out from inside with a roguish grin.

Today I finished Digimon Story Time Stranger. The story was a bit of a mess, especially at the beginning, but overall I think it was quite good. Like most Digimon games, it's not going to change your mind about Digimon if you're not already a fan, but for a Digimon nerd like me, I quite enjoyed it.

this is an INSANE deal. this game rules if you like first-person puzzlers. I would recommend playing the first game first, which got a remaster somewhat recently

that's why social media is so popular. People have been conditioned to have brands and creators and artists etc. come to THEM and compete for their attention. people don't WANT to go out and scroll through an unfamiliar site, or, gods forbid, create an Account (ew). They want instant gratification.

This is a nice sentiment and all, and one I agree with, in theory. The issue is that, while people love to talk about how cool indie sites and indie forums and indie whatever are... people won't actually use them. I've run them for years and people will only engage with what's right in front of them

the state of the Pokemon TCG is absolute madness. This is why I'm glad I don't play this game 😬

I've been working really hard to promote my books but it's REALLY hard to get people to read them. Please consider supporting a queer indie author by checking out my books and giving them a read! 💜

Leaving a rating or review on a site like amazon or goodreads is also HUGE for reach, spreading the word is incredible, and feedback of course helps me keep going with all this (:

It's obviously not something that's allowed in official tournaments and whatnot, but it's widely known and accepted in more casual formats like Commander.

in Magic The Gathering, some really powerful and popular cards are extremely expensive because they're old, out of print, and in high demand. As a workaround, players will use "proxies" instead, which is when you essentially make a DIY stand-in that is intended to function as the real thing in play.

Sarah Hawthorne 🏳️‍⚧️⛧ Baphomet Media @baph.xyz · 26/09/2026

that's why so many Magic players play proxies haha

Been working on a new Pathfinder homebrew campaign. I've written what must be like 10k words already and done a bunch of maps. It's called Mountains of Madness, and is a cosmic horror adventure in the cold southern mountains. Hoping to publish it when I'm done and maybe play it someday (:
