The teen is off to university and she wanted to go by bike. I offered to take them (her and her friend) but they were determined to find their own way.

For the day that's in it, my favourite photo of my late father. Howth Head, a spontaneous after-work mid-summer father and son moment. Cherish these moments when you can. (Olympus OM-1n, HP5 at 1600, red filter, push developed in Mircrophen) #FathersDay #believeinfilm

@jfparis Have fun. You'll love it. But be warned, when our girl was 10 she hated cycling in AMS; it does require confidence and woe betide anyone who delays commuters. She found it stressful. She did love getting out of AMS, this photo is literally ten minutes heading east. Enjoy.

#mastodaoine #cycling Our parents and grandparents were obviously made of stronger stuff. Hills, rain and wind didn't stop them getting around Dublin by bike. I’m old enough to remember almost my entire primary and secondary school cohorts cycled to school. The weather was no better then.
