Given the choice between President Zelensky and the disgrace that is currently residing in the White House - I know who I’m choosing 🇺🇦 Come an America - you know what you need to do on the 3rd of November, Trump needs humiliating at the ballot box 🇺🇸

Liberals have to return to being radical. The bind that Lib Dems face has effectively been defined by the fallout from the Coalition Gov' but they have to find a way to get back to their roots, roots that Kennedy & Grimond would recognise. There's no Liberal future in being moderate centrists.

Once you realise the destruction of the upland deserts of these islands you can never unsee it. The moors and mountains are in a terrible state and the National Parks are a failure, total reform and refocus required. If nothing else for flood and fire prevention, a total policy failure

Not much better for welfare in Oxfordshire hills where we have to call the 'shepherds' to tell them their sheep have no water, push them back over when stuck on backs; often lame and carcasses litter the fields. Ecologically less an issue obviously but the business does not work.

Friends still with bookseller. Will never forget the SLA/ Israeli torture facility at the old French cavalry base at Khiam, grim does not start to explain it. Or the border going across a prophets grave - or a gypsy camp in three countries. Or the fact that the fucking top soil was stolen. 4/4

Full disclosure i have a photo of myself and wife on border in Southern Lebanon in 2001 with Hezbollah flags behind, taken by a Hezbollah senior figure after they (and others) defeated the Israelis and SLA. Tour arranged via our bookseller we both refused to speak to the camera afterwards- 3/4 umps

No Palestinian (or to be fair Syrian refugee) had the slightest idea who Corbyn was, or cared. Although our tankies support for the worst people in Mid East caused confusion. Not one of those fuckers was considered helpful. 2/3 sorry

This is the fucking point - it does the opposite. Performative BS on grand scale & no one, not one person actually thinks about a Palestinian, just symbols, they are ignored During Corbyn years debating (wrong word) with his supporters, called all sorts. Even when in a Palestinian refugee camp. 1/2

Man City fans thinking they can spot flaws in a decision made by three senior lawyers is the new Dads think they could win a game against Serena Williams.

Well that was a game. Just chuck the kids at it. O'Shea gets MoM, but lots of academy players - Brookes in front row and in particular Wood in backs were great. Craig Casey at captain is not something I ever expected to type. Well done 👍#munbul

Good game this. Ulster - Glasgow was a great one earlier. Last night a great game in Galway. Leinster bit of a mess in Durban.

Just scored a brilliant try out wide. This is a brilliant first start. I would strongly recommend that Irish out halves don't get injured (starring at you Jack). May not be missed...

Charlie O'Shea is apparently 20 - which is still impressive. Looks a real prospect. And just got a try, brilliant charge down Obviously Fly Half s are parasites that feed of work of others but...got the conversion.

Munster seem to have a kid at fly half, first start before he has needed to shave. Just produced a cross kick from God and then hit the conversation from touch line. Incredible

Maybe the only Labour Party Leader speech that still lives, pure future is here. Labour after this seemed mostly looking back to a passed age. Blair lacked substance, Brown theatre.

Met a few Senior US military personnel, about 20% shouldn't run a bath but obviously Pigsbreath will promote those and sack the competent of which there are many, indeed majority. Extraordinary seeing an incredible military power just destroying itself so quickly. Xe & Putin money well spent

Good to see Manchester top of the league. From a public health POV (obviously) hope they join City in their dive down the leagues - Penryn Campus next fixture?

www.smithsonianmag.com/innovation/t... Don't know what you were doing whilst studying for A levels - in my case mostly smoking, drinking, playing snooker, trying to get off with, far too sensible, girls and occasionally running around a hockey pitch - feel Arya has used the time better.

replay.bfi.org.uk/video/556765... From 1945 around my bit of North Oxfordshire, slightly to SW mostly. Not a great advert for rural living at that time. And for those of a certain vintage John Arlott's dulcet Hampshire tones will waft you back to a County or Test ground from your youth.

Addressing hunger and malnutrition is a priority firmly rooted in Ireland's history. Prevention is not only the right choice morally, but also the smart choice economically. Ireland will continue to champion child nutrition and work closely with our global partners.

All quiet there yesterday, except a slightly angry dachshund, when canvassing. BBC man I bumped into was from BBC East did explain the East angle something about a Parish Council from Suffolk meeting Piddington PC. Assume to discuss how to get Roderick Spodes Blackshorts to terrorise his village.

(flying mammals not sticks to hit balls) were on agenda. Roderick Spode and his black shorts very much not wanted - by those I spoke to. Didn't realise Pink Ladies had been there as well as the RNLI boat slasher, and add to the joy the local Trots had been out being, well, the usual Trot help. 3/3

To take a viewing in a couple of weeks and distribute flyers. Not many locals around those spoke to all friendly enough - a dachshund puppy had my number and was distinctly in a get across the border to your own Division mood. But ditch needs work, roads also and bats 2/ obviously not 2

Out canvassing in Piddington (Peoples Republic of ?) this morning. No obvious border infrastructure apart from the village sign and gates (assume whole parish was independent not just village, but may be not). Pleasant enough village, seems to have quite an active Art movement and was collared 1/2
