Not me playing John Williams' Superman's theme on repeat while scrolling through all the positive reviews. To be clear- I'm not nor have I ever been a Superman stan. But this movie right here? A top 5 DC film for me, easily. Probably top 3 alongside Dark Knight and Wonder Woman, as it should be.

To be fair, I started w dipshit & dialed back to dingus. It's juvenile cuz it feels like I'm arguing w a child going "NUH-UH" when presented w info you don't like. You can be right about Superman's hair & completely wrong about Nightcrawler's fur/skin at the same time. It's okay to accept the truth.

That's the shadow effect, dingus. It changes as he moves and as the lighting changes. Blue is used to highlight black in comics, but that does NOT mean every time you see blue, the actual color is black. This just tells me you have no idea what you're talking about. Room temp IQ logic. Stupid hill.

I'll give you gray (not and never black) on the original Beast, but the change to blue was almost immediate. Next you'll be saying the Hulk has always been gray with green highlights.

The perpetual shadow is an effect caused by his mutation. This is Cockrum's original character sheet. Very clearly blue with shadowed areas and black hair with blue highlights exists. He has never in his history had black skin.

I wouldn't describe myself as an artist, but I'm super proud of this. Needs touch ups and some muscle contouring, but otherwise complete. I'm rethinking the hair... what do you think?

Already had my no obligation calls. Extremely helpful, but whether I want it or not, my budget just can't handle the expense. Doesn't matter how beneficial or that it could pay for itself in the long run. Biggest hurdle is consistent writing

Disagree on Save the Cat. Yes, it's cookie cutter and formulaic, but honestly my plot was crap until I realized the problem was that the "beats" were missing. It was all fun & games and no conflict or motivation. I'll have to check out Chuck Palahniuk's book!

I need a solid critique partner, as my only feedback is from friends & family (who will support even if it's not suitable for wide audiences). I'm in several FB groups but nothing intimate enough for growth. I don't doubt the coaching would be worthwhile, but I'm not exactly Scrooge McDuck...

Question to the #writers community: Is book coaching beneficial? I #amwriting my second draft after a very messy first attempt and have been presented with an opportunity for focused guidance, planning, critiquing, etc. at a $4k price tag. Has anyone here used professional coaching? Was it worth it?
