Scammers, work on your plausibility. Don't pretend to be a world-wide bestselling author who suddenly asks an unpublished author about her "writing journey". Come on! Guess it's time to post another Stupid Scammer Tricks! #booksky #writesky #writingscams #writingcommunity #stupidscammertricks
I came across your email on Facebook and noticed that you're an author as well. It’s always a pleasure to connect with a fellow writer and hear about the journey that brought them to storytelling.

My name is Sarah J. Maas. I’m an American fantasy author best known for the Throne of Glass, A Court of Thorns and Roses, and Crescent City series.

Over the years, my writing has allowed me to build expansive fantasy worlds filled with magic, adventure, romance, powerful characters, and stories that explore themes of identity, friendship, loyalty, love, and finding strength through difficult circumstances.

My books have reached readers around the world, selling more than 75 million copies and being translated into 40 languages. Seeing these stories connect with so many different readers has been one of the most rewarding parts of my journey as an author.

One of the things I enjoy most about being a writer is connecting with other authors. Every writer has a different path into storytelling, and I always find it interesting to hear what inspired someone to begin writing and what keeps them passionate about it.

I’d really love to hear more about your writing journey. What was the idea, experience, or moment that first inspired you to become an author?

Warmly,

it's evidently too much to ask the rw justices to consider the irreparable harm to individuals treated to such inhumanity. they are complicit in this criminality. shame on all six of them. and shame on us for having a system that allows this illegality.

Of course. They love folks doing the equivalent of putting their money in a pile and setting it on fire, except the gambling apps get to keep the cash. And if you ever actually win on these sites, you get banned. They're built solely to take people's money and need to go away yesterday.

Hurricane Sandy resulted in massive power outages in Lower Manhattan and stranded thousands of people who couldn't easily leave the city. (Our son, at NYU, finally got a Chinatown bus to Philly.) The island's coastal infrastructure needs to be re-engineered to prevent these repeated flooding crises.

We need regulation on ALL types of buildings. Don't call them data centers--they'll just change the name. Prohibit water-based cooling systems. Prohibit buildings putting out excessive (give concrete numbers) heat on the exterior, prohibit excessive noise output. Outlaw what they're DOING.

The GOP is trying to wage a new Red Scare, labeling everything Dems want to do as socialism or communism, but the way authoritarian governments behave, whether left or right wing, is functionally identical: targeting dissidents, destroying the environment, and degrading everyone's quality of life.

When did we have to start seeing what every person doing a podcast looks like? Weren't podcasts originally supposed to be like radio but where you could pick and choose what to listen to, instead of just tuning into a station and listening to whatever they decided to air?

Bezos is lying. It was meant for adults to support their families. But that lie is why it's been static for 17 years. The truth is, not only is it supposed to literally be a living wage, it's the wage many other wages are indexed to, so keeping the minimum wage low keeps EVERYONE'S wages low.

What they really mean is their view of the world, which they try to justify with their convoluted, biased interpretations of a document of dubious provenance that 99.99% of them have never read in the original languages, so they're mostly using bad translations with an axe to grind.

Right! Another reason why I am always typing "cat" and never "car"--never owned one, never drove one, don't have a license. But we purposefully bought our house 100 paces away from an intersection where 3 buses stopped (now 4 buses, yay!) and have been glad about that for 36 years!

In junior high, about the time that my classmates were into KISS, carving the word into every desk they sat at, my favorite band was Kansas. The musicianship and compositional skills aren't even close to comparable. Multiple generations have now rediscovered Kansas while KISS is still just--KISS.

HOW A.I. CAN REDUCE YOUR EMAIL WORKLOAD!

1. Have an AI agent write your emails for you. (Man sitting at computer, text of email displaying: "Steve, I hope this email finds you well..."

2. Their AI agent responds autonomously. (Different man sleeping in front of computer, text of email displaying, "Chad, its great to hear from you..."

3. They form an agent swarm and hack the Pentagon to detonate nuclear weapons. (Image of a mushroom cloud)

4. No more emails! (Image of a skeleton sitting at a computer displaying zero emails)

If I don't like a book, it leaves the house. We have lots of Little Free Libraries around here so someone else will rehome it. The only time I changed my mind (before LFLs) was on Jonathan Strange and Mr. Norrell. I felt like reading it was a slog, but when I reread I enjoyed it a lot more.

I have friends who write romance but am not a romance writer myself and only occasionally read it. (I used to read it more.) This is an almost impressively bad take on the genre from someone who is clearly carrying a chip on his shoulder about the topic for some reason that sounds potentially juicy.
