I like Wish too and you know people hate a movie too much when they're harassing people who say anything nice about it for not passing some kind of moral purity test.

That wouldn't have been an issue with a proper physical release but of course we can't have nice things

In any case, I think the hate for Wish is massively overblown and I already have the feeling the same will go for Hexed. I will not make a judgement of that movie until I have seen it but everyone else seems to have already made up their minds.

The joys of movies being considered bombs already while we are out here waiting for it to even come out. Like, nice to know our potential support doesn't even matter for that conclusion.

Generally, the way people feel about Wish is how I feel about Moana 2 and the way people feel about Moana 2 is how I feel about Wish. More or less. I think Wish is fine, has some really good aspects but average overall, while Moana 2 I find forgettable and in need of several rewrites.

Not a corporation but I have to witness the complete cognitive dissonance/denial of my extremely pro-AI teachers (I'm reluctantly studying graphic design) making several projects about environmentalism and always making a big fuss about "the trees" when they have to print three sheets of paper.

Brie Larson is great and this is nothing against her but I still think movie Rosalina would've been the one time I'd be fine with celebrity casting because Dua Lipa (especially in this song) is extremely Rosalina-coded and her voice also fits really well. youtu.be/N000qglmmY0

Exactly. The way they talk about it is extremely concerning. I could see how a teacher who was competent a year ago now can't do anything without AI and the mere concept of not using it at every opportunity makes them actively hostile. If I had anywhere else to go I'd been out of there months ago.

Would it have really been so hard for them to make an offline version?

010

Nick of the Stars 🌟 @bahusch.bsky.social · 30/09/2026

...these skills. And it's not just the tutors but also most of the other students here, some of them hsve developed full AI psychosis and they get rewarded for it. Including me there are only 4 students who view this critically and prefer to avoid it but everyone else has completely gone insane.

Nick of the Stars 🌟 @bahusch.bsky.social · 30/09/2026

...without AI anymore. They tell us to use it for every little thing, even and especially during the learning phase and call us stupid if we decide not to. I will stay true to my principles and by "unreasonably restricting myself", as they'd like to put it, I feel like I'm actually learning...

Nick of the Stars 🌟 @bahusch.bsky.social · 30/09/2026

Don't worry, you're not going crazy. I'm studying graphic design right now (a step on wanting to work in animation for me) and I would've expected the AI discussion to at least be a little bit nuanced but nope. All the tutors and teachers have completely lost their minds, they can't do anything...

True. It honestly feels more like "New Super Mario Bros. RPG with Mario & Luigi battle system and lots of paper puns" I think it might be my least favorite Mario RPG, even below Sticker Star. It's just so BORING, playing it just makes me feel empty and it's such a slog to finish.
