Go in picking blades you think look cool. The deep theory isn't scary, but starting with any blade you like, you can not only find combos in the community that use it, you can main that blade and push it to its limits. I run defense and green stuff mainly and I have so much fun.

You can have a 28g blade such as Stun Medusa able to go toe to toe with meta blades like Wizard Rod or Shark Scale due to the beys being designed and shaped. Highly suggest checking out channels like LSB. youtu.be/2rMs31RdUZc

100 percent. You have a ton of influence over your combo and how to launch it. Reading how your opponent is gonna launch. Every beyblade in this generation is made by Takara Tomy, rather than in past gens where Hasbro made their own. Every piece is valid and weight isn't the end all be all.

I main Draciel and it's current gen homage Black Shell. I enjoy Draciel on 460 BS, but if I had 450 I would use that. 455 is a good option too. UN, LO, O. I main defense combos btw. Folks make it into a mean attacker with 760 160 R, LR.

A beyblader imo. Expressing yourself through your beyblades is peak Blader Spirit. No one will remember your tourney wins or placement running the cookie cutter stuff. But if you're ultimately having fun running meta or not, that's all you need. Unlike in TCGs, you have way more influence

One more thing: don't listen to people telling you you're beybladeing wrong. Meta comp is only meta because it's easiest to use and a lot of people stop at that. You can absolutely cook with any blade. Launch tech and understanding the physics of your combos and how they work is the true sauce of

Example. Buster is strongest fresh, but as it dulls from its big ohko use, it has noticable dips in win rate ratio. That said, all that is just deep blade theory comp stuff. Buster will still perform well even worn as shit.

Of blades you really like and know you'll use constantly. A lot of folks have a second one for testing if first one breaks and the third one kept fresh for tourney day as a lot of blades' peak performance is fresh or partly worn, falling off in effectiveness thereafter. Dran Buster is a peak

To using it on 160 H as a testing dummy since it's one of the premiere meta combos. Most blades aren't locked behind a stadium set like hover so you're not spending 25 bucks (when the stadiums on sale) for a new hover constantly. In all honesty, buy what you like and buy an extra one or two

More or less. Parts like Low Rush wear fast as they're aggressive as hell, but you'll not see that fast wear unless you're relentlessly testing and battling. Blade wear isn't gonna happen super fast either. I think my husband and I have gone through 4 wizard rods so far and that's due

Hover is a meta tier blade right now but more importantly it's only obtained via the drop attack or the purple hover from lottos in Japan. Also Low Rush has only a few non drop attack releases and is a high demand bit.
