If you have a pull list with your local comic shop, consider putting The Forgotten Five on it! I'm writing a chunk of script for a few issues down the line this morning and I simply think people will love it. imagecomics.com/comics/relea...

Obligatory "Midnight Bliss" art

An illustration of Felicia from Darkstalkers(Vampire Savior) in her Midnight Bliss depiction. She's holding a champagne bottle that's just been popped.

There's a large "Pop!" text on the screen, and the champagne label has the face of Hsien-Ko on it

I also think the reason here has to do with people not allowing themselves to invest themselves in art or media beyond their school years. So to them that sense of wonder may be unique to their memories, and not something worth pursuing as adults?

I think this is closer to this. The first thing that felt great (bc it was relatable?) probably left people with a sense of not needing to articulate themselves beyond that first experience

My kid has started a Letterboxd list called Killer Sweaters for films where the killer wears a great sweater and they've asked me to throw it out to Bluesky for more because "that's the kind of thing those weirdos like to do"

I have the suspicion that this too is a product of people equating relatability with good storytelling

Thinking about people’a claim that certain characters turn to villainy bc of generic reasons. Like what exactly makes for a non-generic reason?? Potential for redemption?

A fateful encounter with a cat lover?

An illustration of Felicia and Morrigan from the Darkstalker series. Morrigan has her arm wrapped around Felicia's shoulder and flashing a devilish smile. There's hearts flowing around her head. Felicia looks caught off guard and jumpy, but still blushing.
