I'd lobby to see company archivists attend as well as game historians, gamers, game media experts, and hobbyist archivists. I think the landscape needs to be understood holistically. Not unlike how research data is removed as open government data.

I don't 100% subscribe to this being a #digipres issue YET. First I think it is a consumer issue but I do think there is critical mass to discuss this substantially at upcoming conferences/panels if there are any.

FWIW I have felt quite profoundly a distance between web archiving and #digipres. The former, my view, anchored in academia and the humanities and maybe more precarious (and competitive), the latter maybe a bit closer to the coal face. But yeah, I don't think we've truly worked well together yet.
