As my best friend would say, it's Spooky Season. Now I just need those high 60s and 50s to hit and stay and I'll be extremely happy.

I was literally planning on publishing House of Solomon on Webtoon and Tapas but I decided to no longer do the scroll format after doing a format test. I will be doing my own site for it. Looks like I dodged a bullet but this is still a sad day for webcomic creators.

I didn't start getting into anime more until my early 20s when I was in college, but I definitely grew up with it cuz of Ghibli. The Ancient Magus Bride is the reason I switched majors and became an artist, so it's the most important one out of the other anime on this list.

holy shit, this is the whole ballgame in a single paragraph gAI systems require mass theft of copyrighted works, for the explicit purpose of replacing the market for the people they stole from, and the people in charge knew what they were doing ahead of time, and did it anyway

They would most absolutely be impressed. Drawing was always something I wanted to do but thought I would never be good at. So I never tried. Anime and Manga inspired me to go beyond those feelings @ 24 in 2018 and I took my first drawing classes in college.

Today marks the 2nd year anniversary of when I started development for my webcomic, House of Solomon. I plan on doing a special art piece of Stolas to celebrate this cuz his character design is the first thing I did that made me want to bring this idea to life, so he's rather special for me.

It should radicalize the hell out of people that the leader of the Democratic Party is saying no to something that can save 100,000 lives a year. 100,000 people EVERY year. A million every decade. This is what Social Murder looks like.

"You have to draw every day if you want to make it" is tired, burnout-inducing, elitist advice and if I hear it again Im going to start giving out demerits. Draw when you can, when you have motivation, and if your intent is to improve always try to attach one goal to your drawing to focus on.

There's a reason I have called Webtoon the Netflix of webcomics and that it's not a good thing. While it showed that webcomics can now be a big enough success to make money, it hasn't done much to elevate the space to make that easier for EVERYONE. Therefore, the whole space suffers.

This is something I've personally noticed in animation and why I decided to walk away from it, even in the indie space. I am currently pivoting to being a comic writer/artist and am already feeling happier and more excited for it. But I am very much still mourning the closing of that door.

I am once again trying to get back on my bullshit (another Stolas sketch) after like two months of not drawing. lol Trying to do sketches when I feel like I can't draw anything cuz it's lower pressure. My motivation is so shot, y'all. But I still wanna try and find a way to break out of this. 😭

Finally doing the format test for House of Solomon to figure out if I wanna draw it in scroll or traditional format and honestly, I'm seeing the strengths both can offer and it's not as easy as I thought to decide. I will say, figuring out panel layouts in scroll format definitely feels harder. xD

East and West hallways of the mansion are done. There's still so much of Solomon House to design. This is easily the hardest section of the art for me to work on. I'm learning so much though and I'm really proud of myself. I just wanna lock in more. xD #bskyart #environmentart #webcomic

Environmental art of the east hallway of Solomon House, where the children's rooms are located; two doors with 5 windows. A dark green rug extends from one end of the hallway to the other, with another being shown around the corner where the rest of the hall continues. Warm light comes through the windows onto the wooden floor and the rugs. Gold trim compliments the cool-green walls. Brown doors have gothic lamp-like lights next to them. The ceilings feature crown molding that matches the color of the walls.

Environmental art showcasing the west hallway of Solomon House; three doors, each baring the sigil of one of the demon fathers; Stolas, Orobas and Ipos, in that order from right to left. Cool-green walls with gold accents, bright-brown wooden floors and dark green rugs that extend to the end of the hall, and another peeking around the corner where the hallway continues. Crown molding on the ceiling that matches the walls. There are 5 windows in the hallway where the doors are, each letting in warm light from the outside that hits the floor. Three, gothic-like lamps hang in the hallway, one next to each of the bedroom doors.

This is shit that happens in Dictatorships; anything that goes against the "great leader" is punished by imprisonment. When artists start being thrown in prison for their creations that are critical of a powerful leader, it's something to be VERY worried about. This man needs to be freed.
