Tried my hand at drawing again after a long while. I've never been particularly good at it, but I suppose I'm not terrible either. Anyone recognise/wish for a return of these two?

If there's a Necessary Adjustments writing habit I love a little too much but won't ever give up it's making Sam occasionally say something to himself as a reactive last word in a sort of twee mid-century humorist Paddington Bear type style.

Sam didn’t personally think that the man on the patio had the appearance of somebody who had the faintest idea what was or wasn’t good for him, but he bit his tongue and busied himself with venturing outdoors again to visit the coal bunker for brazier fuel.

Sam thought that there was rather a lot about him that Mrs Trembley ought to be sheltered
from knowing lest it spoil her perception of him as a “Good honest English boy”. He decided
that when they eventually met he would try to bring attestation of his Englishness, the one of
those epithets he could defend with certainty, to the forefront of conversation wherever
possible.

Motor ambulances were only introduced during the Edwardian period itself in select areas, were mostly synonymous with hearses and didn't achieve anything like widespread adoption until WW1, so Lady Ashwater's understanding of what her daughter even actually does in the mid 190Xs is likely deficient.
