I keep seeing lies about the Birthright citizenship stuff that I want to make sure people can reference the truth. Specifically that it was only to give citizenship to ex-slaves. This is absolutely wrong. Immigrants were debated and the matter was made abundantly clear. (🧵)

Democrats can do a lot of things to push back against the slide into fascism. Senator Van Hollen's trip helps put pressure on the administration. Trump's lawyers now have to go into court and admit they are doing their job less than a member of Congress is.

I think this concludes that ICE is the American SS. Next up in the fascism slide is the Kristallnacht and Sondergerichtes; where the Nazis captured 30,000 jews to send to concentration camps and set up a 'special court' to subvert the justic system that was blocking them.

I am one of those who rails on the Dems for being spineless and calls on them to do more to fight back. I loved that Al Green refused to sit down and be quiet and I love that Cory Booker is standing to distrupt the Senate. Absolutely break things when 'normal rules' are used to break us.
