"Verified" is earned, not asserted. Encodings are cross-checked against external engines and datasets, including PolicyEngine and TAXSIM — in the open, where you can re-run it. Find a discrepancy and we'll explain it or fix it.

So we publish the layer underneath: statutes and regulations as cited, time-aware, executable code. Every value cites its statute. Every clause carries its effective date. Over 3,000 encoded provisions at launch, starting with tax and benefit policy.
“The rule of law begins with access to the law. That’s why societies publish it — proclaimed in the square, printed in statute books, posted on websites. Our era’s medium is software, and for six years at PolicyEngine I’ve published tax and benefit law as open code. The limit was human bandwidth, and AI just broke it. So we built the Axiom Foundation to publish the law as code anyone can read, run, and verify — from taxes and benefits to the rest of the world’s rules.” — Max Ghenis, CEO and Founder, the Axiom Foundation

Every calculator, eligibility system, and policy tool translates the law from prose into something a machine can run. Most do it from scratch, differently, and out of public view. Same law, different answers, no way to check.
“I’ve spent my career inside and alongside government closing the gap between the policy we pass and the services people actually receive — including building benefits access tools and some of the earliest rules as code work in the U.S. AI has changed what’s possible and rules as code can now happen at the scale of the law itself. That’s what the Axiom Foundation makes real — an open digital layer between policy and delivery, so no one is guessing at what the law says, and government, builders, and AI models all work from the same playbook.” — Ariel Kennan, President, the Axiom Foundation

The Axiom Foundation is live. The rules that decide who gets food assistance, health coverage, or a tax credit have lived in closed code nobody could check. As of Tuesday, they're open: cited, computable, verified. axiom.org/blog/axiom-l...

The rules that decide who gets food assistance, health coverage, or a tax credit live in closed code — re-implemented privately in every system that needs them, checkable in none. On July 28, the Axiom Foundation goes public to change that. We're bringing computable law to all.
