hi all I'm Cat! I'm a Fil-Am divorcée, lesbian, writer, and history enthusiast. Looking for more folks to follow and yap with 💖 📖 reading: Wolf Hall trilogy, The Eagle & the Hart 🎮 playing: Dragon Age Veilguard ✒️ writing: BG3 zine short story ft. Mizora, Rot WIP

A pale biracial woman with brown eyes and dark brown hair pulled back beneath a blue bandana. Wearing a light gray tank top and light blue jeans. Has a tattoo on her right arm of the shards of Narsil from Lord of the Rings, extending from shoulder to elbow. Seated in a casual posture in front of the camera, somewhat cross-legged, with one arm in her lap, tattooed arm resting across her right thigh.

Excerpt from personal project labeled "Rot WIP": "The gardens of Gracebourne Hall, left untended for over a decade, have given way to weeds and winding ivy that crawl up her stone edifice, across the windows, and into the weathered cracks with the same hunger as the sea for sunken ships."

excerpt from my piece in the BG3 fan zine, Heroes of Faerun. Title of my piece is "Never Dark Again" and the depicted excerpt reads:
"'By doom and dusk, let wind the strings of fate that we might glimpse the tapestry to come.'

She hears Arabella before she sees her: not as a grief-stricken child, but as a young woman in leather armor, with a gold locket around her neck. She sits on a fallen log under a starry sky, petting a fox that has come to lay down by her feet, and hums a familiar tune.

She'll be alright, Tavirithys realizes, but it was not she who ever doubted it."

"Once upon a time," he said out loud to the darkness. He said these words because they were the best, the most powerful words that he knew and just the saying of them comforted him.

This is a portrait of my daughter at 14, sitting on a chair with our cat. While the cat gazes outside, my daughter looks directly at us, creating an interesting dynamic. The technique blends drawing and painting. This oil painting is 12” x 16” on wood panel. #contemporarypainting

This 12x18 oil on wood panel was a rare commission. I was drawn to the solitude of the scene, its Hopper-like composition evoking quiet introspection. Muted tones in the background contrast with the subject, enhancing the emotional resonance of being alone. #portraitpainting #contemporarypainting

Horror video game protagonists coming across ammo early in the game before scary stuff has happened: “Huh, just some ammo lying around in the only kitchen drawer I can open. Well, that’s not ominous. I don’t even have a gun but I guess I’ll put it in my pocket for noooooo reason.”
