in other news im confident the switch will beat the ps2. its at 155.37m & nintendo projects another 4m sold this fiscal year. switch sales trend down ~60%/year which puts next year's forecast at ~1.6m. ps2 is at 160.637m. it just has to sell 5.267m, 0.33m under the 2 year forecast, to win by Q1 2028

sad truth ive been grappling with: if nintendo priced this generation lower they wouldve run out of stock. theyve tanked their PR but they have also managed to meet demand, something they very rarely do. lowering the price wouldnt increase the units sold, itd just decrease the profit margins

alright folks im eating my words. sales have come in and they are simply meeting their projections and there is no crisis to make anything better at nintendo. the trend does seem to be more downward than up but not by a substantive amount. i was Wrong, evidently they did not "Massively Fuck It Up"
