Green Party adopts anti-Zionist policy

4 October 2026 / 4 October 2026 by Green Party

The Green Party has adopted a motion formally establishing it as an anti-Zionist party at its 2026 conference, following a vote by party members. The motion passed by 1022 votes, with 813 against.

The motion sets out the Party’s opposition to Zionism, defined as an ethnonationalist political project, and states that anti-Zionism should not be equated with antisemitism. The motion reasserts the Party’s commitment to Palestinian liberation, the right of return, Boycott, Divestment and Sanctions (BDS), and a full arms embargo against Israel.

The motion also restates the Green Party’s backing for the right to self-determination and calls for the establishment of a single democratic state throughout historic Palestine.

An infographics on Post Effort Malaise from Natasha. Consider leaving her a tip if you can afford to! ko-fi.com/s/4542e47f7d
Infographic, "PEM: Why we avoid the crash", from substack.com/@behindclosedblinds. Post-exertional malaise (PEM) is the hallmark symptom of ME (myalgic encephalomyelitis) and affects many with Long Covid: physical, mental or emotional exertion can sharply worsen symptoms, often hours or days later.
"The cost is unpredictable": energy is like a credit card with no visible limit or interest rate; you may feel fine until the crash hits, and the same activity costs differently day to day. "A crash can affect your whole body": exhaustion, pain, flu-like symptoms, brain fog, headaches, dizziness, nausea, sleep problems, sensitivity to light, sound and touch, heart rate and blood pressure problems including POTS. "It isn't ordinary tiredness": crashes can last days, weeks or longer, each leaving less energy and fewer abilities.
"The downward cycle": icons show activity, PEM, lower baseline, lower limit, another crash, lower baseline, repeating. What once took a full day of activity to trigger may eventually be triggered by a conversation, sitting up in bed, a phone vibrating, or even thinking. Your world shrinks as the baseline falls.
"This is why we pace": pacing isn't laziness or giving up; it protects the baseline you still have. If you can shower today, don't risk being unable to tomorrow. "Pushing through can make things worse": it can cause further deterioration; in severe ME, light, sound, touch, food or another person in the room become intolerable, and it can be life-threatening. "Pacing gives a chance for a more stable future", and hope the baseline may rise.
Footer, "I know how far the baseline can fall": the author once crashed from answering the phone and saying two words, later from it vibrating, eventually from thoughts alone. A quote: PEM's cost can change what you're capable of tomorrow.

I have folded a paperclip in a particularly unpleasant shape. It now threatens to destroy humanity. Debate me.
I'd think if Yud was wrong about AI being a potential threat, *someone* would be able to construct an actually decent counterargument against him

This "what a weirdo", "haha so dumb" shit would obvs exist either way, but there would *also* be, like, somebody who could formulate a coherent rebuttal

Sometimes people use "respect" to mean "treating someone like a person" and sometimes they use "respect" to mean "treating someone like an authority"

and sometimes people who are used to being treated like an authority say "if you won't respect me I won't respect you" and they mean "if you won't treat me like an authority I won't treat you like a person"

and they think they're being fair but they aren't, and it's not okay.

Also I'm very proud to announce that I used Claude to finally put on paper the fighting system I'm de facto enacting/ training for lol
The diagram reads left to right, from states to outcomes, and top to bottom by closing range.

**Bands and states.** Pre-contact holds S0 Ambient (a relaxed shell guard) and S2 Ambush (contact without warning). Kicking range holds S1 Outside range, drawn with a heavy border as the system's central state, with a self-directed loop on its left representing jab, pivots, feints, low kicks and the combined threat of kick and entry. Punching range holds S3 Pocket, S6 Single leg and S8 Their shot. Contact and clinch holds S4 Collar tie (also heavy-bordered), S5 Body lock, S9 Wall wrestling and S7 Back taken. The ground band holds G3 Standing over and G1 Top control on the upper row, G4 Grounded and G2 Bottom on the lower.

**Outcomes.** Five boxes down the right edge: Flight (leaving, the best outcome), Discouragement (they quit), Safe KO (their head's fall is governed), Risky KO (ungoverned fall onto the head), and Loss (I am wounded). Transitions reach them along vertical collector rails rather than individually, so each rail gathers several labelled stubs before a single arrow enters the outcome.

**What the structure shows.** Safe outcomes are fed almost entirely from the states where upper-body control is retained — collar tie, body lock, wall, back control, top control — while risky outcomes are fed from free-standing striking states. Two states carry an amber badge marking where cardio is actually spent: S6 Single leg and G1 Top control. G4 is marked as the worst state and G2 as the least trained.

**Bottom panels.** Left: environmental conditions, which lower confidence rather than deleting transitions. Centre, highlighted in green: the single criterion separating safe from risky outcomes — whether the opponent's head trajectory is governed at the moment it stops. Right: the colour and line-style key, including the note that grades are net of risk, so an ungoverned landing lowers a technique's grade.

Black-and-white surreal illustration riffing on John Archibald Wheeler’s “law without law” and the participatory universe: a giant eye opens onto a U-shaped cosmic tunnel filled with stars, while a dashed arrow leads toward a nail-polish emoji hand painting its nails red at the tunnel’s entrance. Black arrows run downward along the cosmic tube, creating the comic impression that the participatory universe itself is polishing its nails—a playful visual metaphor for Wheeler’s idea that observers participate in bringing physical reality into being.

Good question. I suggest we have them throw leather balls at each other in a great battered earth colosseum during annual festivals, and the winning team gets to be sacrificed to the Sun.
The next time you read Reviewer 2’s pompous, power-mad report, ask yourself where else you’d rather such persons do their status-seeking. This gives us a powerful way to defend the humanities to the general public. We should publish reviewer reports with the message: If you keep closing academic departments, these people will have to become your colleagues. They’ll do their status seeking where you live, instead of up in the ivory tower. Is that what you want?

Just pay the money.

A composite of the final delivery drawings produced by ILC from 1970, showing an A7LB suit as worn by an astronaut with gloves and helmet (left), with Thermal Micrometeoroid Garment (TMG) layer (middle), and showing only Pressure Garment Assembly (PGA) (right). Courtesy of ILC Dover, Inc.As with the larger conflicts surrounding ILC’s procedures, the resolution was a hard-won compromise. For elements toward the outside of the suit, especially in the covering Thermal Micrometeoroid Garment (TMG), changes followed standard systems engineering protocols. A longer zip or a differently shaped piece of Velcro was subject to the same “configuration management” procedures that held sway in any other part of the massive Apollo effort, with up to several changes a day meticulously recorded. Closer to the astronaut’s skin, however, the engineering logic evaporated in favor of a humbler logic of clothing. While each glove finger, anklet, or undergarment was assigned a tracking serial number, it was also given a size range — from small and medium to large — within which its astronaut-specific dimensions could be specified. Once agreed upon, the only problem came with sizing the most intimate part of the suit assembly, the urinary collection device (UCD) that slid over the astronaut’s penis. After an “incident” with the first astronaut fitted for the device, the UCD’s designations were changed from “Small, Medium, Large” to “Large,” “Extra Large,” and “Extra-Extra Large.”Whether in the “dipping” of convolutes, the gluing of layers, or the sewing of the final suit, ILC’s process was so dependent on the individual craftsmanship of its employees that attempts to precisely enumerate the procedures used were inherently impossible. As a seamstress later reflected, “No two people sew alike.” While even a change of a 16th of an inch in a formalized sewing procedure had to be debated and recorded on a systems engineering “configuration board,” the procedures documented in paperwork were never precisely the ones used to assemble the suits.

9. THIS WAS NEVER ABOUT PUPPYGIRLS OR DRAG

First published June 3, 2026

The last two backlash cycles have been treated as separate scandals because scandal is easier to consume than analysis. You can fit a scandal in one hand. Screenshot it, quote it, drop it in a group chat with the verdict already written, and be back on your phone in three minutes. An argument requires you to actually stay with it, which is the one thing the people who would rather discuss my personality (it is disordered after all) are not going to do. So they did the obvious thing. They took two essays about two different objects, turned them into a character flaw, and went looking for the version of me that confirms what they already wanted to think.

DUMP YOUR PUPPYGIRL

First published May 19, 2026

You wake up at six because she had a crisis at two and you couldn’t sleep after. You lie in the dark for forty minutes after she finally goes under, watching the ceiling, listening to her breathing change. You think about how you have to be on a call at nine. You think about how the dishes from her midnight snack are still in the sink. You think about how you forgot to pay the electricity bill again, because last night you were on the phone with her other partner explaining that the puppygirl was not, in fact, going to leave the polycule, that she had said it in the way she sometimes says things when she is dysregulated, that it would pass. You eventually fall asleep at three-thirty. The alarm at six is brutal.

I fully expected something vile but this is way beyond my expectation.
Screenshot of an X/Twitter post by a verified user, Susan Abulhawa. She quotes a clip in which Palantir CEO Alex Karp is reported as saying, “If my family hadn’t left Germany, I would be a lampshade.” Her post responds: “first of all, he'd be more useful to humanity as a lampshade. second, how long do we have to keep listening to this nonsense?” Embedded below is a repost from Chris Menahan stating, “Palantir CEO Alex Karp: ‘If my family hadn't left Germany, I would be a lampshade.’” The attached video thumbnail shows two men seated across from each other at a wooden table in a rustic cabin-like room; one man gestures with raised hands while speaking. The screenshot shows the post received about 192,700 views.Screenshot of a verified X/Twitter post by Susan Abulhawa. At the top she writes, “don't forget I said bar of soap too.” The main text expresses anger toward supporters of Israel, saying she has seen the effects of violence on children and does not care about the feelings of those she believes are responsible. She wishes fear and suffering on Israel’s supporters, calls them “monsters” and “ghouls,” and says no fate is cruel enough for them. Embedded below is a reply from Todd Richman criticizing her previous comment about a Jewish person being “better” as a Nazi-made lampshade and arguing that such rhetoric makes peace difficult. The screenshot shows engagement counts including replies, reposts, likes, and views.

A presentation-style slide with a pale blue-gray background and thin vertical border accents. At the top left, the heading “KEY POINTS” appears in large teal capital letters. Below it, a teal bullet point introduces a statement in large black text: “The claim ‘butterflies do not cause tornadoes’ is not an evidence-based claim because studies have not ruled out the possibility that butterflies cause tornadoes.” The layout and typography resemble a professional infographic or educational presentation slide.
