this made me think of that epic harmonization they did for the acapella version they sang for one of their tours a million years ago. chills man.

I realized that gilroy didn't replace jyn with bix (similar though they are), he basically made cassian a copy of jyn (pre-finding out about her dad) for all of andor except the last 5 minutes after bix dumped him

It's almost like the story should've been about him losing his humanity, us wondering if it's gone but then he spares K2 and we realize it's still there. Instead his hotwife left so he stays cause he's sad, but secret baby makes it alright.

for him to believably be the kind of rebel we see him as in RO he honestly could not have been in any significant human relationships before then, because that would’ve humanized him earlier than RO 🤷🏽‍♀️

suchi 🦋🍃 @avatarsarny.bsky.social · 16h

Exactly bc what do you mean he wasn’t fully committed until literally the year before RO starts?? Rogue One!Cassian was a loyal (to a fault) soldier who’d clearly believed in the cause for a long, long time. Enough to sacrifice his humanity before meeting Jyn!

suchi 🦋🍃 @avatarsarny.bsky.social · 16h

last thing while i’m still ranting on this topic, you don’t write rogue one like that and expect me to believe cassian had been a devoted husband to someone else lit rally the day before lmaoo

suchi 🦋🍃 @avatarsarny.bsky.social · 16h

would’ve been so incredibly cool if she was treated like a real character and given an arc other than, y’know, being a single widowed mother (wife of cassian?? idk how that title can belong to anyone else other than jyn erso i’m so sorry)

at best i view it as a high budget fanfic that someone who hates jyn erso, and also cassian andor, wrote

Hoping more romantasy stories follow this format, because we deserve some happiness after all the angst. Because these are the stories that live in us forever 🦋

But they did, just as beautifully as the OG fanfic version of them did that I fell in love with 7 years ago. And I am so glad we got a beautifully satisfying, HAPPY ending that lasted longer than 2 paragraphs! AND a whole epilogue chapter?? We are truly blessed.

I will miss Talasyn and Alaric so much. I really did feel the roller coaster of emotions reading TST, and at some points, had no idea how they would ever resolve their differences. If they would ever move past the war between them.

suchi 🦋🍃 @avatarsarny.bsky.social · 06/10/2026

Like everything Thea writes, this series felt so cinematic to read, from the battle scenes to the (very excellent) spicy scenes.

suchi 🦋🍃 @avatarsarny.bsky.social · 06/10/2026

TST was the perfect ending to a perfectly balanced romantasy trilogy. It has everything you’re looking for: intricate worldbuilding with a well-thought out magic system that feels very familiar (hello, fellow SW/Reylo/ATLA stans!) blended with GOT-level political intrigue and a true ETL story.

The winds of war blow through Lir once again, and Alaric and Talasyn fight to find their way back to each other. Love and duty collide as the fate of a divided world hangs in the balance… THIS SHATTERED TEMPEST is out in bookstores today! For one last time—embrace the storm 🌩️❤️‍🔥
