He said he went to Oxford Uni, but he did a 1 year teaching diploma in Oxford Old school tie even though the tie wasn't from his old school and media barons who support the Tories

Why are these tech bros naming their companies after artefacts in Lord of the Rings? Anduril was the sword that was reforged and carried by Aragorn. Palantir were the glass balls that Sauron communicated by. Mithril (another Thiel company). There are more.

I always say no. I arrange my charitable donations annually with a little to spare for emergency appeals. I would like to know if the stores that do this get some kind of tax break, and why don't they pledge to double or triple the donation a customer gives?
