I was 5 years old when I first saw that scene, and it freaked me out so badly that I didn't watch the movie until I was 25. At 25 it freaked me out again so I said I would never watch it again 😭

I have a nasty red rash on my arm. It looks like one I had a couple years ago after a spider bite, but I don't see anything that looks like a spider bite (usually two raised bumps right next to each other). Who even knows 🤷‍♀️

This online store called Midnight Hour had a limited line of clothing with Edward Gorey art. I love this dress so much; it's comfortable, cute, has pockets and is printed with whimsically macabre Edward Gorey art. It has tiny whimsical skulls. So many skulls.

My sons were running in the rain and managed to tangle their long legs together. They wiped out onto the concrete, of course. Teen escaped with a small scrape and a couple cuts, probably a nice bruise. Sixth-grader scratched his elbow and scraped the absolute fuck out of his knee. Children 😅

Teen bought an anime girl blind box at a con. We didn't realize it was a ball-jointed doll! He asked for help dressing her ('I figure you have the most experience' lol). It was fun to dress up a doll again. She's awfully cute (and nostalgic for me- she even has a wallet chain).

We watched the latest Superman. I thought it was really good. Superman is everything that's good about humans, because he was raised by good humans. It's good to remember that good humans are out there, and there's more of them than the bad ones. Also Lex Luthor is a little bitch.

Are there really people who get super messed up by Daylight Savings Time? It's one hour. But every year I hear people complaining and moaning for days after. I'd rather kids not have to wait in the dark for school buses. I was super messed up for a couple weeks after a trip to Japan, but one hour?

Back in June we went to a Weird Al concert in my hometown. This weekend he is doing a show near where we live. If someone gave us tickets (concerts are expensive, though Al is more reasonable than most), I would go again. That's how much fun it was.

Husband told me that now the #1 song of all time is pretty new & it's called Choosing Texas. I'd actually never heard it so I pulled it up. It's pleasant and catchy, but (to my mind) nothing particularly special. Then the kids said they dislike country music so we introduced them to outlaw country.

Dug through my box of old cosplays. I can still wear my Ghost in the Shell: Stand Alone Complex one. And if I borrow Teen's Attack on Titan Scout uniform, all I need is an eye patch to cosplay Hange. The only cosplay I'd have to build from scratch is Unohana from Bleach.
