This online store called Midnight Hour had a limited line of clothing with Edward Gorey art. I love this dress so much; it's comfortable, cute, has pockets and is printed with whimsically macabre Edward Gorey art. It has tiny whimsical skulls. So many skulls.

Teen bought an anime girl blind box at a con. We didn't realize it was a ball-jointed doll! He asked for help dressing her ('I figure you have the most experience' lol). It was fun to dress up a doll again. She's awfully cute (and nostalgic for me- she even has a wallet chain).

For Halloween I am decorating the library with (not so) scary animals. I hate when pop culture demonizes real animals, so I want kids to see that "scary" animals are actually really cool, and are just doing what they evolved to do. So far I have Rat, Vampire Squid and Orb Weaver.

This came in the mail yesterday. It details what will happen during the Rapture, using pieces of the Book of Revelations interpreted by someone who doesn't understand metaphor and code. It was specifically addressed to me so I assume they think I'm not getting raptured lol

Happy birthday to my little bear! He came out 8 weeks early and spent a month in the NICU. Now he is smart, caring, funny and always willing to help. He likes to tell me all the middle school tea, and last year we learned that he had been the de facto IT for the whole elementary school.

There's an arcade an hour from us. $16 and you can play all day, and they have loads of Japanese rhythm games. I like those, the pinball, and the claw machines the best. I usually end up with a couple new friends after every visit. Today it's an alien and a totally official skeleton Bulbasaur!
